The were simple fixes such as batteries missing from the tv remote ect that could of been working properly

Wire doors wouldn’t slide for all three rooms. Some maintenance needing to be done.

Friendly helpful staff. Room service every day. Location was just accross the road to shops. Didn’t have to leave site for breakfast & lunch - Stumps café and Uncles Tavern for dinner. Laundry was close by on property. Used BBQ twice. Gated property so felt safe.

Everything was fine until my friends in the next room woke up at 1.30 am on 25/08/25 to find someone in their room. They yelled out and the person ran straight out. Nothing missing luckily. They then checked their car and found one of the windows smashed. Also nothing missing from the car. The incident was reported to police. Staff informed the next morning but weren’t particularly interested. The gates are closed at night so the scum bag must have climbed over. Very disappointing. The car was parked towards the back of the property where there is no CCTV. Be aware!

The nightlife was very load and continued til 2am. I found the first location more quiet, but my last night was closer to the bars and the patrons roamed later.

the location was central. It was super close to where I needed rot meet my onward travel.

there is only one staff person at the time so if you have an issue you have to wait. No room service when we stayed for 2 nights. The pool is freezing.

Aircon vent is noisy woke me up so much. But if you have earplugs u should be fine.

Great location. Close to Uncle’s Tavern which is a pub with karaoke night every Friday! Good place to stay for the weekend. Room were abit dated. Been there multiple times already due to the location. But unfortunately the room we stayed had a leak from the lights. Told the receptionist about it, they offered to change to another room but we refused cause it was just a small matter. No big deal. Overally i would still recommend!

It would be good to provide better quality tea and coffee products and a toaster to make breakfast. The security screen door was broken and the curtains were off their rungs allowing light into the room.

Location was terrific. Meal at Uncles Tavern was good. Bed was comfy.

A bit like a prison but, not the hotel’s’ fault. Alice Springs is not what it used to be, most shops, cafes and malls are boarded up, it doesn’t feel safe to walk the streets and there’s very little to do unless you hire a car and leave Alice Springs.

Great location, friendly staff, great prices, with a nice cafe attached, nice pool and bbq area. Secure parking. Large pub/bar. Budget rooms are ideal for hikers. Bag storage. All within security fencing.

'Additional electric sockets difficult to get to, dropping tap in bathroom. Place appears to have gone downhill from my last visit a year ago.

Our room was on the side closest to the nightclub so on a Saturday night we had loud music until the early hours of the morning.

The Diplomat is very central. The reception is 24 hours and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Maybe modernise the facilities and refurbish eg, sound that the door makes when opening and closing and curtains can be changed to blinds? Just a thought. Otherwise it’s great for a one night stay 😊

It was close to shopping centre and information centre. Easy to find what we needed.

Asked for a $200 bond on check-in; didn't see this mentioned prior on booking. The bar/restaurant at the front of the hotel was very loud into the night and the patrons used the hotel parking so had to park car well away from our room. During the night there were people outside the hotel causing a commotion - yelling and screaming for 1-2 hours.

Location in town was good, supermarket and fast food nearby. The room was clean and the shower adequate. Didn't try the pool.
