The wet cold weather but the accommodations were very nice to overcome that.

Well thought out accommodation. Very private settings and beautifully decorated rooms and gardens. Heating was very adequate for the cold wet weekend we were there. Breakfast included daily and the hosts were our friends by the time we left. A lovely cosy dining room/cellar door with a wood fire heater. Lots of Gilli and Marc artworks on display and for sale.

Stuart and Evelyn's heartfelt hospitality was truly exceptional. They welcomed us with such warmth and generosity that we felt immediately at home. Their freshly prepared, homemade breakfast was the perfect remedy after a day of indulgent wine tasting nourishing, comforting, and exactly what we needed. Plus as dog lovers we enjoyed meeting Mona and Geronimo.

Our suite had everything we could have needed and was spotlessly clean! Evie and Stuart were the perfect hosts, making our weekend very special. Evelyn is an amazing cook, her meals were spectacular. Their wines were some of the best we had during our stay.

The accomodation was wonderful. The property itself was lovely staying on a vineyard was the epitome of the Hunter Valley experience. It was very quiet and tranquil. The food provided was delicious and made from all local ingredients. It was a great way to support the local industry and the our hosts were wonderful warm and inviting, we felt right at home.

I just wish we could stay for a month!! 😉

The hosts are both so lovely. They have created a beautiful luxurious haven of artistic tranquility. In every sense… the gorgeous cellar door and restaurant and cottages set amongst the rolling vineyards, the gorgeous smells of both the bespoke candles and soaps, as well as the delicious food and wine, and the heavenly soft sheets and dreamily comfortable bed. I cannot recommend RDC highly enough!

There is nothing to dislike about the property but a swimming pool would be a great addition which I believe the owners are looking into.

It’s a small boutique property offering a quiet peaceful stay with fabulous hosts. On top of that a great atmosphere with excellent food.

When selecting a place to stay I had seen the incredibly positive reviews that RDC had, but even they didn't prepare me for just how wonderful this place is. Evelyn and Stewart are fantastic hosts and it's clear that their passion is providing their guests with an outstanding experience on their beautiful property. The property itself is gorgeous - we went for a little walk around when we arrived and, as people who live close to the Sydney CBD, we were blown away by how quiet it was. The breakfast included was excellent, as was the wine from the property. We also loved getting to know Evelyn and Stewart a little during our stay. It was such a warm and welcoming experience and this really stood out compared to some of the other more sterile and impersonal places we've stayed in the Hunter. We can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at red door, Evelyn and Stu were excellent hosts and everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The coffee was superb and breakfast delicious. The cellar door is such a lovely space and we love the artworks and all the Nick nacks available for purchase. We even went home with some for our place! Beds are comfy rooms are clean, hosts are lovely. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful location. Accommodation lovely, with a large and luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was great, a traditional high quality fried breakfast for my husband, and grilled veggies and wrap for me (vegan) Delicious bottle of red door pinot in yhe room on our arrival. Very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

How amazing is this location, quiet and relaxing and a perfect night for our 40th wedding anniversary. Evelyn and Stewart were so accommodating and made our stay feel like we were staying with family. The breakfast was delicious especially with our glass of sparkling ❤️
