View from room onto a blank wall not very inspiring. Probably needs a bit tender loving care and maintenance to bring it up to date.

Better lighting in the room would be great. Very dim pendant lights. Perhaps a bar or strip light in the bathroom would be help.

Beautiful heritage hotel. Great spacious room, comfortable beds and balcony. Lots of stairs to our room which was fine.

Dripping tap, no shampoo. Exiting through front door it took me a moment to realise had to give the door a shove to open.

We had the family suite with ensuite on the second floor in the motel section out the back, and for two people it was lots of room. It only has one very small high window but we did not notice after a while. No kitchen or cooking allowed in the rooms which we knew, just a microwave for reheating food and kettle to make a tea or coffee, but most people probably eat in the bistro ( which we did not try but it looked popular with locals ). Good secure parking for guests behind a remote gate, no need to.park on the street. Saturday night we were there was a band playing until 1am which was fine, they were actually a good band. The rooms in the older part of the hotel would be a more authentic olde world Aussie pub experience, but they only have a shared bathroom. The old pub grand foyer and stairway is impressive. Overall a good comfy and inexpensive spot for one or two nights, handy to the riverside walks, heritage buildings and shopping. The new Art Museum a few minutes walk away is worth a look too, and free.

Carpet floor in the room and everything is quite old (tv, AC). However it is a personal choice. Just be careful for allergies people

Location and facilities. The motel has a clean bathroom and comfortable room. The pub and restaurant are very old and have quite a nice bar. I definitely recommend drinking a beer there.

Noise late at night from band needs to be considered if you’re planning to stay on a weekend. Can’t be changed adds to the atmosphere.

I will note the late night noise from the main building. This was reduced by noise cancelling doors and did not faze me but if you are someone who this would bother then you might need to take this into consideration. Otherwise so perfect.

Big breakfast didn’t come with tomato sauce but not sure if I needed ask for it. The shower soap offered was a little too small for being held.

The staff member was very, very polite. Thank you! The breakfast was cooked to perfection & was a decent portion. Glad pineapple juice was a menu option & for a full glass. Very rare in most places.

I understand it's a very old Hotel. But decent hot water would've being nice. And a big hole above the windows. Was a very very cold shower. Bed is very old (or so I think). Felt like bumps in the matress.

Loved the fact that we could walk around. Shops close by. Rooms is big enough for a family.

The ensuite bathroom had a partition wall that was only about 2m high and didn’t reach the ceiling which doesn’t work when you are sharing the room with friends.

No microwave available for guest use. No available heating. Air-conditioning lacked reverse cycle to heat room. Original room booked was broom cupboard size and very basic.

Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Old atmosphere of room in historic hotel. Manager rebooked my room to upgrade plus additional charge.

Whilst we had a great night on Saturday night, being late we just ate at the bat. However Sunday night choose too eat in the dining room and unfortunately disappointed. Waited forever and when our meal came the vegetables were stone cold. Went back to get warmed and staff member threw cutlets into a bowl and was quite rude. Eventually came out with plate of 1/3 warm vegetables. My partner and I had the same meal. There was no need for her attitude and why would you go back to the table with lamb cutlets in a bowl and wait for vegetables!

Spa was not working and our balcony overlooked the main road.

Shift manager changed our room as the spa wasn't working and gave us a bottle of wine. Great location to CBD. Good food.

Nothing really.

The location in Rockhampton was great. You could walk along the River, or to the local shops and eateries. Having the steakhouse in the Hotel was a real bonus.

We never mind what rooms we get however the older part doesn’t have microwaves or other extra touches in the rooms. Also I found it weird that the coffee and sugar etc were in the fridge. 🤔

Love staying at the Cri in any of the rooms. Staff are always amazing. Location is the best.
