The fact that we had to pay cash (costs us an extra 10 USD to get amount out of ATM). We didn’t use cash in our entire 3 months in Australia except for here

Nice view of the rainforest from the bungalow! The room is modest but comfy with a mosquito net. Owner is nice.

The distance from parking to chalet, distance to the communal kitchen which would not have been as bad if it had not been raining. Would have appreciated a kettle chalet and proper water supply in the shower. a door mat and broom would have been good too.

Liked the ambience of the location. The chalet itself was quite nice.

Shower didn't have much in the way of water pressure and hot water mostly didn't work.

Great location on northern side of Daintree River in the Daintree Rain Forest region in Diwan which was close to Discovery Centre and not far from Cape Tribulation. Cabin felt like we were staying in a tree house with covered front veranda having two comfortable hammocks that we could lay in and enjoy the incredible views out towards the coast, night sky and the quiet of the surrounding nature and bush. Host was also very helpful and welcoming.

The cabins were great but if I was being picky I would say there are some things that need renovating, for example the BBQ didn't work very well because it's old and needs the burners cleaned or replaced. It's also off grid so I understand not having some things in the cabin, because as Vaughn explained something like a kettle would blow a fuse but maybe install a bigger generator, solar and/or battery, so you could have a kettle and a toaster in your cabin would be good.

The obvious thing was the views which were amazing. Also, and in no particular order, the peacefulness, tranquility, host and surrounding gardens were all great. And although basic the cabins were great and the bed comfortable plus the hammocks on the balcony looking at the views was just amazing.

Quite location, friendly host, amazing views, and great facilities for cooking up a BBQ and relaxing.

Amazing location, his chalet is nestled on a hillside overlooking the Daintree and the coast. Get up early to watch the sun rise over the ocean and listen to the sounds of nature.

The qween bed was very comfortable however the sofa bed was not suitale for adult comfort and would have benefited from a better suited couch.

The cabin was open air, living with nature in nature, I felt Iike I was on a safari, we had good weather so that has in itself made our stay more enjoyable. The cabin was very romantic, and exceeded my expectations.

Nothing, highly recommended but need to know that you will sleep in the middle of nowhere. If you have anything to ask, the host who lives above the kitchen area, will come and help you. He even let a bell ring if you need him for something.

It was really lovely! If you want to experience a lodge in the middle of the cape tribulation, do not hesitate! A unique great experience. We were 4 people, so two of us slept on the coach which is in an open with an amazing view. We love this experience as the mosquito fillet let us feel completely protected from insects. The host was really kind and helpful. Outside kitchen and barbecue were fully equipped with pans,... Area was roomy as there is only a maximum of 2 lodge. The toilet and shower were clean.

No wifi at the accommodation, only in the main building. After a certain time we were told by the owner to stop using the wifi as he had limited data volume. The small fridge cools very poorly - our frozen items in the freezer compartment defrosted.

Super nice view to the sea. Sounds of the jungle animals at night. Pretty, well-kept surroundings with beautiful plants and swimming pool.

The huts are quite open & eco-friendly so there were lots of bugs- bring insect repellent & don’t leave any food out! The mosquito net around the bed did a good job overnight though.

Stunning views and lovely accommodation. Host Vaughan is such a character- he was very funny and helpful. We really had a great three-night stay, I’d say that no other Daintree accommodation has comparable views or immersion in nature. The grounds/garden are stunning and immaculate- was like walking around a fairy glen!

Would have been easier to make coffee in chalet but I think not possible because of how the power was supplied.

Beautiful quiet location. Lay in the hammock and just listened to the sounds of birds in the morning. No kitchen in chalet but a good area provided for barbie dinner and making coffee etc. Rustic place but very peaceful.

The photos give the impression you have the kitchen and lounge chairs in the cabin. They are in fact in the common room under the host's house. The fold out sofa bed was very uncomfortable.

We would have loved a kettle and/or a coffee machine in the rooms. The additional fold out bed has seen bed days and was quite uncomfortable.

A very special view that immerses you into a full Daintree experience. It’s well worth getting up to enjoy the early mornings and along with late afternoons. Comfortable main bed and clean rooms. Basic cooking facilities and BBQ available in a shared space. Enjoy nature with no phone reception and limited wifi.
