How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We enjoyed our stay as it was clean and equiped with what we needed. The kitchen was convenient and we were able to cook as needed. The service to fix a minor issue in the kitchen was provided immediately and our issue was resolved promptly.

The pillowcase was moldy as well as the shower all mold on the ceiling the toilet didn't flush properly and there was nobody in the office the entire time nobody to greet and meet, the key for the unit was under a shell but maybe that was the case cause the property was up for sale
The beds were comfy The property was secured, and cars were secured inside with an electric gate to get in and out

Spacious, close to a shopping centre. Not too far from the city. Bathroom is a bit dated but otherwise nice facilities and it felt safe with a security gate at the front entrance.

front door is very hard to lock almost impossible so only locked the security screen door. toilet as above. nothing managment can do about a cat in heat.
good kitchen and well equiped ,toilet was good .lots of room laundry good. shower good, toilet does not flush well and needed three or four flushes to clear. firsh bedroom two three quarter beds good and comfortable second bedroon double bed and confortable. tv good, aircondition (not used) fans in all areas. didnt use pool.

Unfortunately, the property didn't have any basics like tea/coffee, shampoo, body wash, or even basic handwash/soap, there was a washer but no laundry powder, etc.
Awesome location, right next to a huge mall.

There was no toilet paper, the pots were very rusty, and there were no spare blankets.
The lady in the office was very nice, the unit we stayed in was roomy and big.

It was a quiet and peaceful place to stay, met a great resident & swapped stories by the pool, great facilities.

Not enough beds/ seating by the pool.
Clean, good facilities, free parking and located not too far from the city centre by car. Plenty of tea, coffee etc and washing powder provided. Very secure.

The kitchen was not well stocked. Cookware, utensils, etc , were lacking. The unit could have been cleaner.

The lock on the door was broken and the property owners knew it was broken, but they never did fix it. during our three day stay. Thankfully the screen door was lockable but we didn’t feel very secure. We were there Friday Saturday Sunday and left Monday morning and the office was closed Saturday and Sunday. we ran out of coffee but did not want to bother the owners. The counters had hundreds of tiny ants, but the property was quite clean.
I enjoy the property and it was a good value. The washer and dryer was a nice option.

There was NO mattress protector, and the mattress was badly stained. We ended up not staying there at all, very unhygienic. Also, sliding doors on the wardrobe were hanging off like they had been kicked in. The kitchen bench still had cooked rice on it. Overall, it was bad vibes and not cleaned properly and definitely not suitable to stay in.

It was cyclone season in Northern Queensland. The manager responded to our enquiries and updated us about the weather. We were not sure about whether to board our flight at all. We were met at early hours of the morning thankfully and shown to our apartment. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. The Westcourt DFO mall is within walking distance

Location close to DFO
The room was not cleaned I had to ask someone to come vacuum the pile of dirt in the corner. I cleaned the fridge out as it was dirty as well. So the room did not get mopped prior to my stay. 🙄

Everything is great!
Great spacious unit, good value for money. Very approachable host. Serene location, close to parklands but also to a busy DFO centre. Well-equipped kitchen and bathroom.
