The bunkbeds are really low, I was glad they let me change from bottom to upper bunk. The shared bathroom has only a shower with curtain, no closed space where you can hang your clothes. No wifi connection in my room.

I did not get the E-mail for instructions on my late check-in and I did not get informed on how to access after late. I was lucky to meet the manager and a tenant on the occasions or I might be stuck outside of the place.

The location is really good. You can walk back here at the Esplanade after having dinner in town. And the place is quiet, too. The environment is very clean as a packpacker. There is a night manager on site so you can get help after hour.

It's not really a demerit, but the reception seems to close fairly early. Since I checked in late (after 4 PM) and checked out early, I never met the receptionist in person and had to rely on messages. As my booking was set to pay on-site, I missed the chance to pay directly and the system charged me afterwards. Worth noting if you prefer to settle payment in person. In my building/floor, there seemed to be only one combined toilet+bathroom. It wasn’t a problem for me, but in a rush, guests might find themselves in a slightly awkward situation. The room didn’t have anywhere to hang clothes. A simple wall hanger would make the stay even better.

I had a very comfortable stay here and would happily recommend it. - Great location close to the beach, with nice cafés and restaurants nearby. - Two large kitchens that are slightly separated, making it easy to cook without crowding. - Stayed in a 4-bed female dorm located in a separate building — the room had its own air-conditioning (individually controlled) and a fridge, which was very convenient. - Spacious garden with plenty of tables where groups can gather, even set up a BBQ party. I saw a stroller outside, so it seems suitable for families as well. - Clean facilities, towels provided, stable Wi-Fi, and hot showers — overall very comfortable.

Probably more awareness of other travelers around noise at night time. Was woken by the people next door at midnight. Perhaps some signage around the faciltity would assist this.

Washing machines and dryers appeared very old and maybe a little temperamental but they were in full working order so it was fine.

The room was really lovely and spacious, with an excellent bathroom. We requested early checkin and late checkout and they were very happy to allow us which was a huge bonus. Staff walking around were always super friendly and happy to go out of their way to help and chat.

My private room only had a window in the bathroom, no window in the bedroom which made it feel quite enclosed as there was no natural light. However, the is not something that would stop me from staying again.

Private room was comfortable and very clean, had everything needed for a good stay. I stayed for 6 nights and it was exactly what I needed. Air conditioning was good and cooled the room quickly. Common areas were all clean. Great location. Nice atmosphere, not noisy at night.

Location just in the heart of the city, near the playground and close to the port. 7min from the airport! Fridge and teapot in the room. Sofa transformed into a bed for our 5yo.

I stayed here for a couple of nights. My first night was terrible as the mattress was completely used. You could tell just by looking that the mattress was completely worn out. It was like sleeping on a sheet of paper. They were not able to change my reservation so I ended up switching mattress with another bunk bed.... The reception hours are super limited so it's hard to speak with anyone if there's an issue. No personal bed light or phone charger by the bed. There's a very limited number of hooks by the shower, so it's quite tricky to get dress after showering.

Front desk staff (Zenon) is super helpful along with the new girl apprentice . Room is so spacious, clean with all necessary amenities. Location is just edge on esplanade but without the noise and right across the beach. There is a good cafe just within its boundary. Their kitchen facilities also very good.

Young lady on the front desk was lovely and very helpful. I was there for the Cairns Running Festival. Had a private room with bathroom. Allowed me to come back after my run around 11am to use pool and have a shower. Location was excellent.

Aircon unit in room was noisy but did deliver cool air, room also had a fan. Someone raided the cutlery. Everything else was great.

Location was excellent, beach across the street and most attractions in walking distance. Staff very helpful and friendly, nice environment. Good sized room for the cost.
