Very outdated in the accommodation section. My husband said very accurately “it’s like we walked on the set of the shining”. The bathrooms are very old. Must have door shut or you’ll set off smoke alarms. Can’t turn on the light of the bathroom without the fan going which wakes others. The power point was a brick above the pillow so you roll over and hit your head. Otherwise no big issues.

The added touches of free drink vouchers and meal discounts were a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and clean.

Location was good, as was incentive to dine in house. It's an old building which was evident in rooms, but spacious enough for myself and two children. Bedding comfortable however bathroom needed attention. If you need an overnight stop, comfort and warmth, it's ideal.

What I did like: Shower was powerful and hot

This is what i didn’t like: The room was freezing cold and the heating didn’t work to start with. We switched rooms and even that took a long time to heat up and the reverse cycle temperature adjustment and fan were at one level so got overheated in the night. The bathroom was cold and because the extractor fan doesn’t work well enough the hot water (excellent) in the shower will set off the fire alarm if the door is not kept shut and the window not left open!

The bathroom leaked and was always wet. You could hear the tap dripping and all the bath leaked onto the floor.

It would be great if the Hotel had a separate lounge area for house guests to be able to sit and chat as the main areas (bistro and lounge bar) are always very well patronised/ busy and noisy.

This was our 4th time staying at Hotel Canoblas as a group of mates/ Dads who catch up every six months for a long weekend away. Hotel Canobolas is very centrally located in Orange CBD, allowing you to walk to cafes, shops, breweries, supermarkets etc. The rooms are basic (bed, TV and bathroom) but at the price charged, that is all you would reasonably expect. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and the showers are great. The hotel facilities (food/ bistro, lounge/bar) are very good. The staff are very friendly, helpful and very accommodating.

Lovely, welcoming staff. Very central location. Beds were comfortable, and extra pillow in wardrobe. Modern kettle, and fridge. (very useful). Tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. Excellent bar and restaurant downstairs. Just the bathrooms, need updating and were freezing. Apart from that, had a lovely three night stay. Thank you. Katie G ☺️

Bathroom is unheated and in winter that's very cold. you cant keep the door open for warmth because the steam sets off the fire alarm (!)

We had to change rooms as there was a problem with the plumbing.

The room was clean, beds comfortable and downstairs, the restaurant and bar were good value. The hotel is in the centre of town so very close to many food outlets.
