We missed having a kitchen sink and a microwave but made do.

Loved the hot breakfast each morning with the most stunning views. Staff were so friendly and the traditional decor made us feel like we were in a lodge in Europe. Loved the large sauna and bathtub.

The entrance bedroom to our lodge had an unpleasant smell about it.

The breakfast was excellent. We had three grandchildren with us. One said it was the best thing about the trip.

Hotel was good and the staff were excellent. Not that there is no parking on the site and it's about a 10 min walk to the car park downhill. Shower took a few minutes to heat up, I guess to be expected in a cold place. Doona could do with a replacement. No spoons in the room which was a bit random and also no iron (you will need to ask reception). Other than that does its job for the location.

We could hear people loudly speaking late at night on the dinning room balcony from our room. The mattress was hard and lumpy.

Breakfast was excellent. Dinning room was very nice. I liked the old European style.

Pricing is ridiculous, but so is the whole Thredbo village... :) Some of the staff members seem to be proud of channelling "go love yourself" mentality, not even returning a simple "hi". Others were very nice though.

Great location, cool view. Rooms are dated and worn, but very clean and no major issues. Has got some proper charm to it :)

Seems most rooms have been updated but ours was in need of a bit of attention and the lighting was rather dim. But it was very adequate and worked well.

No lifts, only stairs ( several sets to get to dining room). Restaurant was pricey. The long balcony is accessible to all guests on that floor so you have to keep your blinds shut as anyone can look in. The building works next door meant we parked about 1km away ( though we appreciated the free continental breakfast offered as compensation for the inconvenience.

Met at the door, shown our rooms. Friendly staff. Lovely big room, bathroom was clean, hangers in the wardrobe to hang up coats. Extra blankets also in the cupboard. The long balcony stretching the length of the floor provided some views and fresh air. Appreciated the small table and chairs in the room.

The staff are friendly and professional, and they go the extra mile. The restaurant is great, and I noticed that it's a place that locals go, which is always a good sign. Fantastic view from the room.

Room facilities were basic and we had to ask for several things (quickly attended to). Reception desk often vacant with no indication as to how to contact someone. Some noise carries from adjacent room(s). Lots of stairs!

Our room was quite spacious, with a good outlook though in our case blocked by a tree. Comfortable bed. Location is great being close to the village. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant and bar cosy with alpine character and nice atmosphere.
