The doors are quite heavy so there was a bit of slamming when other guests were leaving their rooms. Not a deal breaker though.

The staff were all really lovely, rooms were good, clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent. Walking distance to everything.

Excellent location - directly opposite the Esplanade and within walking distance to restaurants, bars, cafes, Muddies and the Cairns Aquarium. The staff were friendly and accommodating, while the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Location, view, easy stroll into town, cafe across the road, did I say view?! We had a 1 bed apartment and it was modern and comfy and had everything. The pool was great and refreshing and really nice done. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly

The bathroom in our room was in need of renovation but was clean and functional. Some of the plumbing was very noisy when other guests were using their bathroom.

Very comfortable bed. Easy walk to the centre of cairns. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant we were told by reception about Muddy's across the road - excellent coffee and breakfast with a discount if you mention you are staying at the Cairns Plaza.

From memory, the lighting in the lounge area could have been better.

We have stayed at the Plaza several times. We like the location and the hotel provides all we need. The suite was a good size and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. No complaints.

Windows were not great so that we could hear a lot of noise from the street. Hospital nearby so that frequently ambulances. We got a room for disabled persons. Therefore especially the bathroom was not really nice. When you had a shower the whole bathroom was under water. Not great and had expected better from pictures.

The floors in both rooms and hallways make it impossible to roll a bag quietly. Pretty noisy.

Location was great and the room was a really nice size. Right across from an excellent cafe and playground. Walk to the lagoon area. It’s comfortable but the flooring makes the room loud and echoes a lot.

Unfortunately breakfast not available. Muddy cafe across the road took nearly 40 minutes to serve. Coffee was cold. Eggs Benedict was cold and had lots of cold dressing. Served on a piece of bread on a piece of toast?

The facade and entryway is very old and not inviting. I was a little surprise when I arrived at the address but it was very comfortable in the rooms.

The bedrooms and the bathroom were very nice and probably recently done up.

Predominately the staff were very friendly and amazing!! We did find one staff member quite rude though which was disappointing :(
