Provided room facilities are much less and inferior compared to what we normally get in similar hotels in our resident country...in our case It's UAE...there were no enough chairs and coffee table in room...for stay of four, there was just single chair in room...in food menu we couldn't find anything suitable to our India vegetarian food diet... though breakfast had some options of bread butter cereals and fruits... but no chouce of freshly cooked hot breakfast... booking.com should include such filters while giving hotel listing....

The sunbeds by the poolside are old and run down, it gives you the feeling of dirtiness. This can easily be fixed with a powder coat spray and new upholstery. More effort is required in the bathrooms to prevent mould in grout

This is our first time in the 6th floor and the room (660) was not well maintained. Cracks and lack of paint in places. First time we have seen this type of things at Novotel.

Staff - everyone was wonderful, very friendly and helpful Room - we had a queen bed and a single bed. Size of room was good. Enjoyed the balcony. Bathroom was a good size. All very clean. Mini fridge in room was a plus. Pool - amazing. We loved it. The sand was so fun for our toddler. On the weekend there are kids activities and items for them to play with. Swim up bar was fun. We wished there were more pool noodles during the week, only saw them on the weekend. Restaurant and bar - great food. Breakfast is worth the money. Great variety of vegetarian options and meats. A few items change daily but mostly the same staples. Coffee machine was great but sometimes a line. Had drinks at the pool bar and other bar on site, all the staff were friendly and drinks were great. Parking - easy to find a spot, paid. Laundry - paid, self service, in a room in the parking area Location - we walked all over downtown Cairns from our hotel. Aquarium is next door. Playground at Muddys was about 10 mins walk. About 15 mins walk to the marina for boats to GBR. We ordered doordash and they found the hotel easily and we also walked to restaurants 5-10 mins walk. Woolworths was about 7 mins walk and Coles and Woolworths at Cairns Central was about 14 mins walk

We had tiny ants in one part of the room. I cleaned them up but they kept returning. It didn't inconvenience us enough to raise it during the stay or ask to change rooms but when I mentioned it to reception upon check out, they made no comment. There was also no operating fan in the bathroom. The room service options were limited.

The complex is lovely - a great set up in beautiful lush green surroundings. The pool area with little beach is very nice, relaxing and convenient. The food from the restaurant when eating in the restaurant was delicious. The room was comfortable and it was great to have a balcony. Excellent location.

At times the desk and bars seemed either short staffed or lacking productivity. Waiting 10 minutes to return my towels for a token was silly. Likewise waiting 10 to 15 minutes for a beer when there was maybe only 8 customers in line with 3 people working at the bar. Pretty disorganised. The beds and blankets were fairly average too.

Location and buffet breakfast were excellent. Some staff were excellent. Great pool. Lifts are fast.

We found the city/mountain view rooms to be a little noisy at nighttime but would come stay again.

The pool was a fantastic area for relaxation and play. We loved the location to lots of the attractions in Cairns, we loved being able to walk to the Cairns CBD for restaurants and activities.

I was standing at the bar and I got kicked very hard in the back of the leg with a football as it was children playing football right near the bar with glass. It really hurt my leg. I then let staff know and they were too busy to Care and said that they were sorry but I would’ve liked a free drink or a free something to compensate. No one really checked in later with me as it was no incident report form done.

Beds were very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was excellent, cocktails were amazing.
