The cleaning standards are low. No lockers. This is basic.

Everything except the mould in the showers and toilet. I didn't dare to have a shower, and I brushed my teeth, trying not to touch anything, which is hard. Fire your cleaners. They are doing a terrible job.

Most of guests are basically living in there, so they think own everything, people laughing and making noise at 1am and others taking long showers, come on guys learn a bit of emphatic

On the first night, we stayed in a room where the window facing the front was jammed and the blinds wouldn't come down, so privacy wasn't great. The other night (we stayed two seperate nights) the room was perfect.

The bed was clean and comfortable with usb ports close by for phone charging. The shared kitchen was also clean and the outdoor shared space was great to hang out in.

Generally our room wasn’t very clean apart from the bed sheets and towels. Checkin and out were both difficult, being told to arrive for a certain time to find no staff and waiting outside for an hour.

From our room we have to leave the biulding to to to the toilet, kitchen and comun areas. It was reining everyday and this was not good, specially at night. Also the number of toilets and showers were not enough

Location: a bit far from the city center and the Marina if you like go walking.

Nice hostel and nice host. The room was cozy but with every comfort: air conditioning, forniture, etc. Free to use the kitchen and the nice green garden outside. The host is very kind and always available for guests' needs.

Everything is quiet open because of the warm weather in cairns so it might be possible you meet some insects. It's Australia 😉 The welcoming was quiet coldhearted.

Owner take care that it's quiet so it's also suitable for older backpacker who doesn't need to party every day. Although if you have a room in groundfloor, you hear every step from above. The garden is very nice and the AC is for free. Our room was spacious and clean.

Very small sink in the bathrooms, there's no place to put your toiletries. The pool is way smaller than on the pics. A bit of a walk to get into the town.

Mattress was comfortable, though they seem a bit old. Nice lady at the front desk. Secure place, (you only get in with a key). Close to Cairns central station.

No mirrors, very small sink, bathroom and ticket weren’t very clean.

Overall this is a good place for a short term stay, we only stayed one night, value for money is good and the location worked for us as it was in walking distance of the train station. I think for the money it is difficult to critique too much, however there were no mirrors in the room or bathroom and hooks were very limited - these are quite inexpensive things to sort so could be really beneficial.

The bathroom facilities only had one working tap in a hand basin for cleaning your teeth.

Nice room and functional air con and fan. Easy access at ground level for an elderly lady. Also helpful staff to carry my case over uneven surfaces.

Dated spaces, pool was unlike the pictures, it’s just a pond for fish, kitchen with rat/mice traps, really not a place for couples or children. More like a place if you can’t find where to sleep, and just want to rest for a night. Not recommended for long term stays.

Comfortable bed, aircon but unsure in summer, location is 20 min walk away from the centre.
