After the floods, all national parks are closed, and I was told by Parks staff that they will be for months. A bit of heads up would have been nice as there wasn't really anything to do.

Very quiet at night, very nice view and convenient location to the town. The cabins themselves are very nice.

It was 4km from town which wouldn’t have been a problem if it wasn’t raining and if we had a car. There was a fair bit of mould in the shower and around the kitchen sink, not the owners problem just a note for the cleaning lady.

Loved the peace and tranquility. Loved the big sun lit deck. Loved swimming in the river, seeing platypus swimming in the river. The cows were so cute and inquisitive. The bed was very very comfortable. The lounge was lovely, the internet was better than expected for being a bit isolated. The kitchen amenities were fantastic especially the coffee machine and dishwasher.

More hanging racks needed for towels. Even clothes drying rack to put on verandah. We had a few rainy days.

Such a beautiful location. Very peaceful. Loved hearing the water flowing down the river, hearing and seeing the birds, and sitting on the verandah that has gorgeous native trees and shrubs all around. The beds were comfortable and the location is only a few kms out of Gloucester.

Perfect spot to unwind in a cute little cabin with a wonderful deck and lovely views of the river and countryside. About a 5 minute drive from Gloucester and maybe an hour from Barrington Tops.

Great place for families. The river is pretty shallow so not great for swimming or fishing but good for kayaks. Great communal fire pit and nice location.

Loved the location beside the river. So many birds and could see the platypus playing. I liked the location just out of town but not too far away. Cottage very clean. Awesome. We will be coming back and staying here 100%

We should have booked a few more nights. So relaxing the Gloucester region.

Outstanding. We both love cabins in beautiful locations and this did not disappoint. It honestly felt like a staying at a country club. Magnificent location... easy access to town. Extremely clean and well maintained cabin with all the bits and pieces needed to cook and have a wonderful time. You will not be disappointed! We plan on going back. 😁 P.S. The local butcher in town has magnificent meat. Make the effort and buy there instead of the grocery store.

It would have been magic to see the Platypus but we realise they are shy creatures. We wish we had the time to stay another week.

This spacious, light, and comfy cottage is brilliantly situated on the banks of the Barrington River. The views up and down the River are delightful and the varied bird life a constant pleasure. We saw egrets, a hawk, ducks, Galahs, honeyeaters, swifts, rosellas, moorhens, fairy wrens and some exquisite tiny thornbills (?finches?). All the comforts of home plus a broad and well-equipped deck overlooking the river, perfect for watching the birds and painting the view. Our hosts were friendly, kind and helpful.

we had a lovley stay here, the morning sun on the Verandah was lovley in the mornings, the Fire Pit was great. the Kitchen had everything you need, and the Air con was a bonus in the cold mornings. Beds we very comfortable.
