Some parts of rooms could do with a little maintenance

Bed wasn’t overly comfortable. When sitting on it, felt creaky and like you could feel springs a bit. 2 light bulbs weren’t working and was told that electrician would have to be called and it would take a couple of days, so we were given a small lamp instead. Spa and pool didn’t look clean and peacock was hanging around pool which didn’t add confidence to pool being clean. Toilet in room had cobwebs and room diffuser needed changing and looked dirty with things floating in it. I dropped phone off shelf at back of bed and I bent to pick it up and behind bed was dirty - lots of cobwebs and dirty tissue on ground so hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

We were only 3-4 km out of town but it was impossible to get a takeaway service or an uber.

Unfortunately the mattress and pillows were way too hard and we were unable to get any solid sleep. Outside of that - place is amazing!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Azabu Retreat and Spa in celebration of his birthday. The location was ideal, offering proximity to the town while still being nestled within the tranquility of nature. Waking up surrounded by the bush was a truly refreshing experience. Additionally, the manager was exceptionally attentive, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well-cared for throughout our stay. However, due to the proximity of the cabins, there were occasions when sounds from neighboring units were audible. Nonetheless, we would certainly look forward to returning in the future

It’s in need of some maintenance but is still comfortable. We hope the sauna will be back up and running next time we visit.

It’s a lovely property, unique and in a beautiful setting. The host was also very lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast and loved the hot tub. And the visiting peacock was a treat!

The rooms were so close that you could hear other people talking and their TV but only a few times, as everything else was so amazing, it didn't ruin our stay.

Absolutely loved the view and opening up the sliding doors to the nature and the birds singing was stunning. TP our host was amazing and would do anything for us, he was just so lovely. It was a magical place for our 1st wedding anniversary.

Property could use a refresh - most of the lights in my room weren't working but told the front desk next day and he jumped right on it.

Front desk gentleman is lovely and often around for questions/help. The pool was mostly in the shade the entire time I was there so wasn't tempted to use it (also mosquitos present but room provides spray), but it was clean and had nice loungers. I would have loved to use hot tub just make sure to allow for time to let it heat up. The drive to this place is quite nice as well as it passes through a eucalyptus forest aka koala zone!

Room as per other reviews does need a little upkeep/TLC - not enough to detract from the overall experience but would benefit from some maintenance & attention.

Incredibly peaceful - bird calls & wind chimes coming through the open doors on the balcony. Kitchette facilities for our own breakfast. Comfy bed, Netflix, lovely pool area, cold pool on a hot humid day & the peacock welcoming committee. Staff also welcoming.

The spider webs all around in the room, behind the bed etc. It's just felt the spider could be there around us. Except this was clean. Also, could be stronger light in the sink/mirror area.

The welcoming staff, he was helpful. The place is in very quite area, the massage was relaxing.

The outdoor balconies could use a spruce up.

Room was very cute with comfortable and provided everything we needed. It was little dated, but the Japanese styling made up for this. However I would not recommend for any one with mobility issues as there were quite a few stairs and also the shower was over a sunken bath, which was lovely, but a decent step down. Location was very nice, very quiet, ideal if you are looking for a relaxing getaway away from any crowds, However it was a little out of town and as we didn't have a vehicle we were reliant on taxis. Our host was very helpful sharing local knowledge and very good dining recommendations. Absolutely loved being greeted by the peacocks on arrival.

In our room we discovered the front light and back light didnt work. One of the lamps above the bed was very wiggly. The coffee mug I drank from had a couple of chips in it. The timber blind next to the bed was a little dusty. I realise we are in a nature setting but things should still work.

Our Therapist Kirstie was awesome. My partner and I both had a massage. I also had a facial. She was professional and it was so enjoyable. Thank you, it was the highlight of our stay.
