How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Shower could have a screen as most of bathroom floor got wet
New spacey and comfortable. Bed was super comfy. Its very modern, heaps of space and had everything you need in a good location.

Not much cupboard space or place for luggage. Have to use couch and chairs to put luggage. (And we each only had 2 small bags).
Clean, comfortable. Coffee machine. Balcony. Reception staff were helpful when door lock didn’t work. Nice Chinese restaurant next door is very convenient but need to book.

Not the best location. Had to drive into town but knew this prior to booking.

The apartment was INCREDIBLE. The bed was so comfy, the bathroom and facilities were amazing. We were able to park the car right in front of the door which made transporting everything so much easier. The place was stocked with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Moreover it had tea and coffee available (with a nespresso coffee maker) and pots and pans to cook. It also had a mini dishwasher which made clean up so easy. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio with mountain view, it was truly spectacular. Would definitely come back there again

The shower. Not sure why shower is not enclosed as water goes everywhere. A spring rack would be good too.

No breakfast available, but we did not need it, as we had our own. The listed restaurant on the property is actually a Chinese restaurant, adjacent. The pool was too far away, but the weather was too cool anyway, unfortunately

Excellent place to stay, very comfortable beds, and had everything we could want, including a washing machine/dryer combo and a dishwasher. Good airconditioning and a fan, great bathroom.

Was hard to locate 'Atherton Apartments', the name didn't match the sign at the property. The conditioner bottle couldn't dispense any contents and was frustrating.

We had to put towels down on the bathroom floor to keep the water from the shower at bay as there is no door to keep it in one area

This is our second visit to this motel, first time in the new apartment section. The apartments are very large with great views over the tablelands. Spotlessly clean with all the mod cons including kitchenette, fridge/freezer, coffee pod maker, huge and comfortable bed. The bathroom is modern with plentiful hot water and large shower area (although alas, like many hotels these days, the water escapes all over the bathroom). The owners are very friendly and gave takeaway suggestions (as it was a Monday night and most places were closed). These apartments and rooms fill up very fast with workers and coach groups so make sure you book well ahead. The part ends are short drive out, on the edge of town but we wouldn’t stay anywhere else and will return.
