Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Washing up cooking and eating utensils in the bathroom basin was very awkward.
The apartment was clean and in good condition. The bed was comfortable and the apartment well equipped.

Our stay was perfect. The accommodation was delightful and had everything we needed and extras that we didn’t know we wanted.!! We loved Broken Hill. Even managed a swim in their pool.

The apartment is in a great location in a quiet street, walking distance to restaurants and CBD. Our host Peter greeted us, and provided helpful info on what to do in BH. The apartment was modern, clean and comfortable, and warm (the weather was cold!). The outdoor area was very attractive but weather was too cold to use. There was a personalised welcoming note on the table.

Couldn’t find any tissues, but found that they had napkins to use.
The parking was outlined clearly, we were greeted by the host Peter who was exceptional, very informative about the town and made suggestions for activities and places to eat while we were there, great guy. The apartment is a comfortable size for two, the facilities were great and the location is in a great spot, very close to everything. The place was very clean and it is great value for money, will visit again!

The studio appartment was a home away from home. It was very cosy and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Little added touches like welcome sign, snacks including chocolates were lovely. The hosts were friendly and approachable. It was in a great position in town. Highly recommend this property.

There was nothing to like, everything was perfect.
The host Peter was there to meet us (and princess and sam doggies). Very friendly. Peter offered suggestions on where and what to see and we took advantage of that, cheers. The car park space was undercover and off the street - even had auto gate... open shut - we loved that. Loved the complimentary chocolate bars and satchels of cereal. Everything we need for our stay was made available. Loved the stay and would recommend to others.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, quiet and centrally located. The hosts are friendly, caring and have created a lovely space, including a beautiful little courtyard. This was our second stay at this property. Guests have a secure covered carport behind a gate on the premises. Although the property is on the same block as the owner's home, it feels very private. The little extras like boxed spring water and a few treats in the fridge were very welcome.
