Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe cleanliness and precise placement of everything did offer a challenge! It is not a bother, but the gutters do need a clean. That is all I have on possible improvements!
This is one of the most perfect places we have stayed. I will not list everything, but it has everything. It is spotless, comfortable, well laid out and very private. It has the most precise layout of crockery and cutlery that I have ever seen.

AustraliaCan’t think of anything. Maybe that we had to leave.
This is a beautiful property that the owners have maintained to the highest standard. You are surrounded by the use of wood both inside and naturally in the bush and outside. It was such a pleasure to call it home for 6 nights. Top class appliances and utensils made it easy living with no exceptions. There was even a shoe rack at the back door we were kindly asked to use for our muddy boots. It was so beautifully worded you wouldn’t say no.

AustraliaWe didn’t expect poor water pressure in the shower and toilet, front door difficult to lock, lack of any rugs on the cold floors, doona too hot for spring and alternative blanket not warm enough. One single 200ml full cream milk.
Beautiful space, quality appliances and furniture, unusual design, views from bedroom window overlooking bush. Spacious rooms. Good kitchen. Loved the wooden floors and sleek wooden furniture, super comfortable bed and pillows, comfortable sofa. Welcome chocolates, plunger ground coffee, selection of teas. Cute recessed spaces in walls for ornaments and books.

AustraliaCouldn't find the laundry, but didn't bother the hosts, decided to wait to do it as our trip was nearly over.
Loved this property, particularly the curved window in the bedroom which had a view of the trees in the garden. The bed was also extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of storage/wardrobe space in the walk in robe.

AustraliaSuch a great location and a beautiful place to stay with so many positive notes to mention. I would humbly suggest for a winter stay if the retreat could provide soft cosy blankets for the couch. The place did not seem very well insulated for winter. It was absolutely freezing when we arrived and took a long time to warm up. I would suggest turning on the heating before guests arrive to take the chill off if possible. I felt bad to leave the heater on for the length of time that I did, but it really did drop in temperature the minute you turned it off. The right side of the bed, the electric blanket, wasn't working but working on the left side. It took me a while to find the full-length mirror. After finding it on the inside of the wardrobe door, I found it awkward to use as you have to stand so close to the wardrobe to see yourself. Adding a beautiful wooden framed large full-length mirror somewhere with good lighting like near the entrance would be 10/10. Shorter people would find it hard to do their hair and makeup in the bathroom mirror. I'm not sure if it states this in the description, but the woodfire burner is a gas/electric type, not a real one. This is great for a lot of reasons, but we do enjoy a fire in winter. Maybe our own fault for not reading the description thoroughly.
The style was beautiful. Stained glass windows and all the woodwork, stunning. Everything was of great quality, including the towels and bedding. The curved window in the bedroom was a nice touch. Equipped with electric blankets and bath robes. The bedding was really comfortable, and the pillows were great, too. I had the best sleep as I like my mattresses on the firmer side. Gorgeous lighting everywhere to suit any mood. All the furniture was of great quality and well maintained. The couch was extremely comfortable. The tv was working well and easy to use, foxtel and netflix. Wifi was great, no problems at all, and password displayed in an easy to spot location. The bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries provided of generous amounts perfect for the length of our stay and the number of people staying, well thought of. The bath was amazing with spa jets. The kitchen was very well equipped, and everything was clean and easy to find. Big tea selection, brown sugar, Nicaraguan coffee with coffee plunger, and small milk in fridge. The outside was beautiful. Every window you opened had a view of gardens, and outside the living room, there is a water feature that you could hear if you opened the door. We stayed in winter but I can imagine a summer visit would be much better. There is an outdoor shower you can use as you arrive back from the beach, which is only a short drive or an hours walk. We only stayed 2 nights, so we didn't need to use everything, but there is a full laundry room accessible from the outside well equipped with an ironing board, too. The retreat was easy to find with helpful instructions from the owners. Very close to the town centre. The retreat offers family-friendly services such as a cot and extra room with 2 single beds. Really appreciate the staffs help for my request of surprising my wife with flowers on arrival. The presentation and selection were beautiful. The chocolates on the coffee table was a nice welcome also.
