Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaDifficult to find the apartment building nestled inbetween other buildings. COULD NOT FIND THE CAR PARK that i paid extra for and no staff to answer a call after hours. My car was also towed away the following morning as I clearly didn't look at the parking sign correctly. So paid for a fine and parking that I couldn't find. Devastating when you walk outside and not find your car and your from Sydney trying to get home.
Room was perfect. Great price

AustraliaIt was hard to find the room maybe a map where to go would help people know which building to go into the guys working at the cafe were helpful. Both me and my friend were in different buildings it was confusing. The bathroom seals were all peeling off it really needs to be redone and no ventilation in the bathroom. The sofa bed in the lounge room when folded out is on an angle not nice to sleep on. I don’t know if it’s normal to stay in a hotel room in Melbourne and there be no cleaning items in the room like no broom or mop or even a dust pan I ended up buying one cause staying with kids and no broom is crazy to me, I don’t like mess 😅 positives the kitchen was nice, beautiful view from balcony and great location if your going to rod lavera arena or the footy
The pool was nice , location was great for the concert we went to which is why we booked here in the first place.

AustraliaProperty maintenance just let it down for things that were easy to repair. Carpet was over stretched and 5 years past due by date. $10 toilet brush was rusty and looked awful. The plasterboard near the shower had a hole from water damage. Again, an easy repair. The $20 hair dryer was falling apart. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock. The $40 Bunnings blinds were dirty and worn. Just no pride in very simple and cheap property maintenance.
Location and view was great. Two separate bedroom was great for parents who are snorers. Staff would answer as soon as I called and were extremely helpful

AustraliaWe had some big problems trying to locate the apartments and the parking. The receptionist was not helpful in regards to parking and actually confused us. We had to phone multiple times and ended up working it out ourselves. It took over half an hour to get the keys and park. The bathroom tiling was dirty and mouldy in places. Beds quite uncomfortable. We also accidentally booked this apartment on the wrong date and the staff were not willing to be flexible with changing the date at all. We were offered a credit of $100 to use another time but would lose our initial payment and therefore would still be out of pocket. Overall the stay wasn't terrible but we would not rebook if we weren't just going to the museum as it is quite a walk to all the other attractions and out of the free tram zone.
The building was secure and nice that it was above a general store and cafe (although we didn't use these). Close to Melbourne museum (but that also wasn't useful for us).

AustraliaThe apartment had a stench of cigarette smoke (as if the last customers had smoked in the apartment), the shower leaked a lot, the bedding wasn’t very comfortable, and the balcony wasn’t very safe.
Location was great, and the staff were wonderful and extremely helpful.

AustraliaIt was very confusing for the first time. No one in reception how to find your key, to get to correct building, parking, was a nightmare at first. But now we understand it's very easy, and very happy. So I will do my best to explain the way we now know. You pull up in Alfred St. where you can see the parking BIG BLUE P. There are parking spots there. Walk just UP TO YOUR LEFT from parking until you see an entrance with a ramp and steps. It looks like an outdoor courtyard with shops on your left is Adele Apartments reception Alongside that door is the wall with a keypad to enter your code, and keys will drop out. Now go back to your car and park, using it think orange tag? To open B1 or B2 gate,go to the parking number they give you. On lifts, it says which building we were in. The Victoria building it is like your text message. From there, go to the floor and room number, and that's it. Once you have done this once, it's very easy. I don't honestly know if I've explained any better, but we were so confused at first. I hope this helps. So read what they have sent along with this to maybe understand better than we did lol.
Very spacious, Tram runs very close if going into City. IGA supermarket on the ground floor.

AustraliaThe room smelt like a dirty bathroom. The fold out sofa bed was very uncomfortable and slightly tilted. The shower took nearly 10 minutes to warm up!! One family member got locked in the bathroom due to a fault in the latch. The decor needs refreshing. Chipped tiles, numerous marks all over the doors and walls, and cracks in the toilet. Some noise from traffic.
While there was no face to face contact we spoke with a lovely staff member Luna who was more than accommodating and helpful with our room and car parking. The location was great for us, close to St Vincents hospital and the MCG. Affordable.

AustraliaThe maintenance condition was sorely lacking. * Kitchen drawer was broken (but repaired during my stay) * Toilet roll holder was damaged & barely clinging to the tiled bathroom wall * Toilet brush was so damaged as to be unusable. The handle kept coming away from the shaft * the toilet brush canister was rusted causing the soiled water to leak out & over my shoes Note: I left a signed note (name & email) for the owner/property manager pointing out the last 3 issues
The size & disposition of the room & table were ideal for holding meetings with staff members. The bed was wonderfully firm & exactly what I need Security Efficiency & Autonomy re system of checking in & out

AustraliaThe auto-generated message with instructions for check in directed me to the wrong building, but this was resolved upon calling the service desk. The window blinds have dead bugs stuck to them when you roll them down. The bathroom's shower wasn't very clean (grout was a bit mouldy and the tiles still had residue and things left behind) and didn't have anywhere to put things like shampoo or conditioner.
The staff were friendly and helpful when I called for assistance with check in. The apartment is generally clean and comfortable, and in a nice, secure location. Close to public transport tram line and easy to get into the city centre. There is an IGA and cafes nearby, so it's easy to get food and items for during your stay.

AustraliaSome personal contact would be good and less need for on-line questionnaires. Three separate requests for charges to my credit card was also uncomfortable.
The check-in process of more than five emails and having to upload copies of documents and questionnaires was a pain. Access wasn't explained very well, had to get locals living in the building to help explain entrance and keys.

AustraliaVery poor communication. We were given the key code 75 minutes after our check in time, so we couldn't get in when we arrived. Also no staff at reception and when we called the phone number no one answered, and there was no option to leave a message. Finally, no information provided on where to park once inside the carpark (which we had paid extra for), and we weren't told you needed the fob to exit the carpark.
Good location. Nice view

AustraliaCommunication very poor. No staff on site. Language barrier on phone communication. Not a native English speaker, heavily accented & spoke very fast. Had to ask to repeat several times. Booked for 2 people, but in spite of it being a 4 person apartment & me phoning them to alert to a 3rd person, there were only 2 towels. No staff on site to ask for another. Key pickup awkward, needed to park car, go & get keys, go back to car & park. No signage at parking spot of direction of lift, so we followed somebody into the wrong lift, whichtook us into the wrong building(Powlett). We could not get back to the car park, so we had to go out into Powlett St with luggage & walk around the block to the entrance (1 guest had a spinal injury).
Location is great. Very comfy beds. Nice view. Good to have on site parking. Spacious. Good to have a lift (1 person injured).
