Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The property was very clean . Had everything we needed for a three day stay . Good location , quiet area . Mei is very good to deal with and easy to contact . She checked to see that we had everything we needed . We had an enjoyable stay .

Great modern townhouse with lovely decor. Very thoughtfully stocked with everything you need as a home away from home. Mei as the host was very accommodating with our requests. Would definitely stay again!

Safety gate was not lockable so was scary with 11 month old trying to walk No extra bedding for sofa bed But with these the host was happy to fix gate & drop off extra bedding as soon as we mentioned it ❤️

The accommodation was great! It was very clean with all amenities available. It was spacious enough for a family and there were cafes and restaurants close by. The tram stop was down the street and took no time to get to the city centre. There was also a double garage which was great to keep vehicles off the road.

Great for families that need a little more room. Beautifully styled, felt like a home! The double garage was amazing, especially with a baby and crappy Melbourne weather to unpack and pack. Dog friendly was a bonus! The host was excellent, great communication and helpful with extra details.

All was great no issues.
Property was clean with good facilities and close to great cafes and tram. Mei was also good to deal with, easy and quick to communicate with.

Mei's apartment is gorgeous! It's in a great spot with easy access to trams but also has a huge garage for parking if you have a car. The unit itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable- a home away from home! There is a great Italian restaurant a few houses up- definitely worth a visit. Mei is lovely and very responsive to all requests. I highly recommend this property-you will love it! Thank you Mei- we all loved our stay.

It is very clean and spacious. The host was lovely and very accommodating. Great place with good size bedrooms and great facilities. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The parking is great in the garage with automatic garage door.

the house was clean, in such a good area near loads of food places and coffee shops, a coffee shop literally almost at your door step, the beds were comfortable, the TV had chrome cast and the kitchen was fully equipped and mei the host was so accommodating and lovely! would definitely recommend.

Big range of pillows but I found them quite firm.
Lovely space and furnishings. Very quiet! Felt at home and comfortable. Great location, loved the easy access to garage/car from townhouse. Mei, the host, is very nice and friendly to communicate with.
