Housekeeping needs to check dispensers. The soap dispenser at the sink was empty and I didn’t realize the shampoo dispenser in the shower was completely empty until I was in with wet hair! The place is for sure older with plastic shower and bathroom floor, and just all around older finishes. It could be lovely with an all around makeover. But if you will be out and about and just need a place to sleep and shower because you’ll be hiking exploring etc it is a big step up from camping!

The location was convenient to the train station and the Salamander cogwheel train, the view of Schneeberg from our window was lovely. The thing I most appreciated was that they accommodated us a day early when I made a mistake booking!

Good value for money. Very good location in the heart of Schneeberg. It's quiet, and with a room facing the mountains, you can hear the stream gently passing through the garden. Very pleasant to wake up to. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was excellent. The view from the balcony was magnificent. Try the homemade cookies in the bar!

The wellness area did not live up to the expectation. It was not possible to swim outside and it felt old. The breakfast was OK but not that fresh.

The price per night is quite high, the quality you get is average. We booked a deluxe double room and got worse room than our friend who booked standard single room. Does not make any sense. Bar closes at 21:00, restaurant also, so after the whole day of hiking you you find yourself in the village of ghoasts with option to eat, buy food or at least have a beer.

The food was ok, would’t say good nor bad, but ok. On Friday we ordered menu and the waiter gave alcoholic dessert to both children, they said it is strange and after we realized why but they eat already most of it.. The other waiter was not even looking at us, when we tried to order something to drink we had to wait like 20 mins, they would need one more person for evenings when it’s full. However the Hungarian waiter on Sunday was very nice, he immediately asked what we want. Near the big pool was not very clean.

Location is beautiful, the garden is amazing! The suite was comfortable and clean, already on the ground floor. There is table tennis which my children liked. The spa-whirlpool area is nice too.

The info on booking is misleading, it offers breakfast only, half board, full board and all inclusive options. We asked about the contents of the all inclusive option but did not receive any answer before the end of our stay. Despite that, we booked it only to find out that all inclusive means the same as full board, i.e. no drinks and nothing extra. We missed the first lunch as it is on the day of arrival, although the receptionist said we could make use of it on our last day, the restaurant did not know that and did not let us choose one (you choose the meal out of two options on the day before). We skipped one more lunch because it was all meat based (both the starter and both meal options) and had to ask for a veg meal for another dinner, they were happy to do that. Generally veg meals are rare, fish is an option most of the times, but not always. Booking offered a room upgrade but when we arrived, our room was book only for Thursday and Saturday night, one night missing in between, the lady at the reception was very helpful and found another room, for the whole duration of our stay, but it was the standard, non-upgrade room. We contacted booking assistant to solve these troubles but have not received any reply yet, let alone during the stay itself.

The hotel was not exactly modern but it was clean and the staff were great. The food in the restaurant was tasty, there was a choice of fresh fruit for breakfast and salads for lunch and dinner. The wellness area was nice, the swimming pool was pleasantly warm.

The hotel is really nice and the room was quite cozy. The view was great from the balcony! Wellness area is also nice, but bit old-fashioned. Staff members are super kind and helpful. Food was nice with quite big portions.

Communication with the service was bad. Only one lady in reception was able to speak english. Furthermore I booked 2 apartments and there was prepared just one of them. The other one was taken by another guests. So we spent one hour to solve this issue. The same situation repeated within the check out. ...and the crazy bathroom with no privacy...

The staff does not speak German or English, you have to wait hours at the restaurant for your food, online they still have pictures of the pool, but there is no pool, only sauna. Bed is uncomfortable, at breakfast not much variety

Everything - its old and ruined hotel. There wasnt any water so we cant take a shower becouse old boiler broke down. Also the toilet looks terrible and we had a „deluxe room”

The booking.com showed a great price of 212€ for 2 rooms, 4 adults, but the reservation was actually created only for 2 rooms, 2 adults!... hotel manager insisted on double the amount to add 2 more guests on the rooms, so in total 424€, double the amount shown on booking.com during reservation! Additionally, reception is only until 7 pm, so when I asked to check in at 8pm, the hotel charged an additional 15€ 😅

Old fashioned furnitures, too little, dark and smelly bathroom. On the whole the hotel was a bit overpriced.
