United KingdomThe hotel is a good 12/14 minute walk away from the property, there is a free shuttle bus which is good , parking cost is €34 for 2 nights. The lady who served breakfast is not very friendly , our breakfast was included which was nice , but we didn’t have a choice of eggs you got what ever was on that day either boiled or fried , my husband asked for one more coffee one morning and the lady said that will cost €3 and to her word she charged us €3 on our departure ! I think service is so important as we would not return to this hotel because of this !

The eggs arrive at your table as a surprise- soft boiled one day, fried with bacon the next. We found it a fun experience.

AustraliaWhilst we toured Halstatt weather was very warm. Hotel does not have air-conditioning and does not provide any fans. Room was very warm. Also did not find the foam base mattress comfortable. This was quite warm with the weather conditions.
Good hotel in great location. Our room was good size and had a small balcony overlooking the lake. Close to restaurants, cafes and boat ride to train station only 5 minute walk. Good breakfast.

Delightful property and our room was very spacious, modern and clean. Bedding was very comfortable and location was very good. Be aware that you have to park offsite and catch a free shuttle bus to the hotel. The young man on restaurant duty at night was brilliant and the meal was great in contrast to the morning lady who was abrupt and not exactly nice. Be prepared to pay for your second coffee

United StatesYou need to park offsite. Unfortunately the town parking was full. The hotel instructs you to park in P1 since that is where a shuttle is provided. I had to park in P2 after waiting for others to leave. When I called the hotel to ask if someone could pick me up from P2 they said no only P1. I asked how I should get there & they said to walk & abruptly hung up the phone. It was raining & I had luggage but given no options I put the address in google maps which had me walk up an extremely steep hill then down 100 steps. After exploring the town I realized I could have easily walked through town on a flat surface within a 10-15 minute walk. When I told the manager he replied oh yes google maps does not work well around here. You would think they could have just provided walking instructions to begin with considering the parking is likely to be full depending on time of year & when you arrive. Very unhelpful staff & unwilling to answer any questions about anything.
The location of the property was amazing. My room had two balcony's & a nice view of the lake. It was clean & the facility had an elevator. Breakfast was ok. I would have rated it a 10 had it not been for the staff & the poor instructions getting to the hotel if the parking in P1 is full.

United KingdomThis is a minor point. The curtains do not provide much black out cover so the daylight shone through early and I had forgotten to pack an eye mask.
I had a really nice stay. I booked a half board stay and was happy to have both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Dinner hours finished early but I was fine with that. Check in and check out were seamless. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location in the centre of Hallstatt but not along one of the busy touristy streets. I had read some of the reviews on this site and others about the hotel and I have to share I no issues with the staff - I was pleasantly greeted by everyone I encountered.
