Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicIt seemed to us that some rooms were relatively freshly renovated and some not. Unfortunately our junior suite was not and it showed especially in the bathroom. Main double bed was not very comfortable as mattresses were extremely soft and there was this massive gap betweent the them one of us constantly kept sliding into. Not sure how "family friendly" the property is, especially for little kids. I mean, yes it is by it's setting - they accept children, there are high chairs ready by your table, they serve kids menu, there is an outdoor playground and an indoor play room. But there is no kettle in the room, tiny trash cans and tons of decoration everywhere in the hotel. Not an ideal setup for a toddler. The indoor play room was a diappointment - it is on a subterrain level (and yes, there are steep stairs leading to it) partly used as a furniture storage and particularly welcoming. Upon our arrival it was very untidy and the are you had to cross to get there was dirty after a party with unfinished alcohol still on tables. I've personally missed a car charger on property. There is one on property but it is marked as "private" and you clearly can not use it. Fortunately there are 8 chargers at a nearby COOEE alpin Hotel Dachstein which is just minutes walking away.
We've really enjoyed our stay at Vitalhotel Gosau. The property is ideally located in Gosau - not far from the main road, yet close enough to go grocery shopping. On the edge of the forest and right on the bike path. There is an amazing public playground a two minutes from the hotel and another one for hotel guests only on property. Gosau is well located and there was plenty to do for a week even when the weather was not ideal - Hallstatt, trekking around Gosausee or taking one of the lifts up to surrounding peaks. The hotel itself seemed to be divided into private residences (one building) and the actual hotel (the other one) with all guests mixing together during meals. Breakfasts and dinners were buffet style and were simply amazing - there was plenty of food and it was very, very good. Staff was nice and attentive as well. We've opted for the full board for convenience and it was fine - lunch was always very simple with only one small meal available - soup, sausages, etc. Afternoon coffee and cake was nice but expect cakes to be very sweet. Our junior suite featured an amazing valley view and was spacious and fairly comfortable.

United StatesIt's pretty secluded for a hotel, I didn't know that even though dinner was included the coffee was not ( minor detail of course but was never clear ) as a matter a fact i didnt realize that untill the second night which made me feel like an accidental thief for not paying for my coffees at dinner the first night. ( of course we made it all "right" after I found out )
Loved the fact that breakfast AND dinner was included. staff in the dining room were fantastic. sauna was clean, and overall simply a beautiful place to be in.

GermanyNothing but an additional big swimming pool would have been great.
The hotel is at a beautiful sceneric view between the mountains. The room are big and bathroom is well equipped with toiletries. There is sauna where kids are allowed with parents and a indoor swimming pool ( small one) but not for very small kids and babies. The pool was crowded which limit our pool time . There is Indoor and outdoor playgrounds, facilitate for activities like Table tennis, tennis & basketball court, renting of bikes are also available in the hotel. There is a stream flowing in front of the hotel where you have walking trail next to it for long walk or hike around. The breakfast & dinner we had was good. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We got a complimentary return gift ( small wine bottles) which was nice

GermanyWe had booked full board, but the lunch part was disappointing in three ways: 1. Lunch was only available in a very limited time window from 12:00-13:00 PM, while the skiing courses in the resort nearby went until 12:30 and given the time for transit it was hard to make the time window. It would be quite important from our perspective to extend the timeframe until 14:00. 2. There was only one option for lunch. 3. We got a message announcing that in addition to the lunch there would be cake from 14:00 to 15:00, which was not in fact the case. Given the limited time and options at lunch, a cake break in the PM would have been nice... The WLAN of the hotel was very slow. We played tennis for an hour in the late afternoon one day. The tennis court was neither heated nor lit and we did not get any instructions whatsoever. So not very inviting at all.
Large rooms, very good breakfast and dinner buffet, nice location

PolandIt is expensive, however most places in that area are.
Fantastic view from the room, which was also spacious and very comfortable we even had our own sauna. The location is fantastic and very quiet. We stayed half board which was a great idea as there are not many restaurants in the area and it was extremely convenient. The food was good, they were also able to accommodate us being gluten free. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again

Greece1.Bathroom should be renovated. For a junior suite and fhe price we paid the bathroom, shower, sink and wc should be more luxury following the traditional style of the hotel. 2. Table in suite's living room was from ikea, again it should be something more than that. 3. As the hotel reception area, seating areas, dinning room and rooms were really nice with a a very nice decoration, stairs and bacememt with spa, pool etc needs a renovation in order to to clmatch the total Austrian traditional style of the hotel.
1.Magical souroundings. 2. Nice area for kids to play 3. Excellent food, with lots of choices 4. Extremely nice decor and colours and view in the dinning room and the seating room. 5. Polite and smily personel.

GermanyThere is mention of a snack available in the reviews, but be aware if you did not pay for lunch you are not allowed to eat the lunch snack. The hotel will give those with all inclusive (including lunch) a wrist band to wear so they can tell you apart. I didn't realize that would be an option when booking and it made us feel inferior to other guests. We also were assigned an interior room table for the entirety of our visit without the option of moving to another table ever. There were tables available in the room with windows, but we were not allowed to switch. This might have been reserved for the all inclusive guests, but it still made me feel inferior to not be allowed to switch to a table with a better view. The spa area is nice, but it didn't open until 2pm and closed early so you could not go in the morning or after dinner, which is when we always wanted to go. When we asked about a play area inside due to the rainy weather they hotel did not tell us about the tennis center next door which would have been great to know it was available for hotel guests to use. Definitely a miss for not letting us know about that at checkin or when we asked during the rainy day. We didn't find it until the 2nd day of our rainy trip.
Rooms were nice with a 2nd bedroom for our kids. Beds were comfortable. Our booking came with breakfast and dinner, which were a big buffet style and different theme each night. The outside play area is good as long as it is not raining with soccer field, archery (for adults), rock climbing wall, and a small trampoline. There were no indoor play area for the kids in the hotel. There was a small pool, but it was a bit chilly and deep so our kids were not entertained by it for long. There is a tennis center next door which you can play for free one hour with a reservation. There was no one around when we were there so we played for hours. There is also an indoor sporting area in the tennis center for soccer, basketball, table tennis, foosball, and a trampoline. It was great to have for the kids on a rainy visit. There is also a nice fitness room to use. We would stay there again if we were in the area.

United KingdomBe very careful when booking through Booking.com - it is advertised as half board but the hotel insisted it was only bed and breakfast. After numerous arguments and showing them the booking confirmation they eventually agreed to the half board we had booked but were unpleasant and rude for the rest of the stay. The spa facilities are lovely, but far too small and overcrowded for the number of guests
The hotel is in a beautiful location. Rooms are modern and clean. Food is good, but limited choice.

HungaryI had opportunity to use the AC EV charger. Only one of the two available charger worked and the price was high. Its price was the same as the Austrian Ionity, although this is only an AC charger. Despite the fact that I was glad to be able to charge at the accommodation and I did not have to go to another place to charge.
We could choose between hot and cold meal for breakfast. The available food was vary and delicious. We got a big room where we had enough place to be with our dog. The bed was comfy and clean. Thanks for the staff for daily cleaning.
