How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Even though the hotel is undergoing renovations, stay was great. Staff do their best and everything was great!. Breakfast buffet was wonderful too!.

An additional building is being added to the hotel and construction work is underway, but this did not bother us at all, especially since the repair work continued until 4:00 pm.
Hi everyone, Great hotel, great location and close to Grossgklockner Pass, delicious breakfast and lovely helpful staff. the room was big and spacious and the shampoo and shower gel were great (we even bought some)))). The hotel is an old cinema building. Old posters, old furniture create the impression that you are in a museum!

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed because of a large booking. However there are restaurants a couple of minutes walk away, so I wouldn't class it as a negative. However they are doing renovations and updating this lovely hotel. And there was no noise during our stay. Well done another top notch hotel.

Hotel is undergoing the renovation/reconstruction, ergo we could not realy enjoy the charm of the boutique atmosphere. We believe, we will do so in the future.
We stayed for one night on the way to Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse. Hotel is located just at 0km milestone of this road. It's perfect location for motobikers. The owners are lovely and helpfull. Special thank to the owner who brought the battery charger when my bike did not start in the morning. You saved our trip to the hills and home. Many thanx again.

Everything was excellent about this stay... except - we arrived during renovation of the hotel so we could hear the workers banging on the roof since early morning. However, this is not a reflection of the stay - it was just bad timing. Once the reno is complete, I would highly recommend it. Wonderful staff, clean, great location!

The only downside is the construction area nearby that will not let you sleep long if windows of your apartment face "the bad side" of the building.
An amazingly cool atmosphere of the hotel - this is a real Boutique Hotel! 👍 The host is very flexible and helpful. Breakfast was varied. Clean, nice. Happily will come back there again (when the construction is finished, though - see below).

The hotel is located in a very nice and quiet village. Free Car Park is on the side with a fair amount of space, but there is another one ( in the same area ) which is within one min of walk. Breakfast was really good. Staff were so helpful, friendly, and polite. Will definitely come back again in the future.

Amazing place very clean, everyone was very friendly and professional. Such a peaceful atmosphere with great food. The cocktail hour was very welcoming and it was special. The live music performance was good. I would gladly stay here again.

All was ok!
Perfect localization. Really good breakfast(with gluten free options) + coffee top taste;), nice garden with mountain views is perfect for lovely supper with drinks. Friendly hosts!

Good location for the grossglockner pass. Bathroom could of been bigger as there was enough room to do so. OK for a night.

Wonderful room in a cozy hotel. Great view from the room. Excellent breakfast. The staff were very helpful. Car park was a bonus. Due to bad weather our trip to Grossglockner Alpine Road did not happen. But the stay at the hotel was nevertheless comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Thurners Boutique Hotel! Everything was great — the room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hotel is very well maintained, the staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location is also very convenient, especially for those exploring the Alpine Road — it’s close by and easy to access. Everything was smooth and comfortable during our stay. We truly enjoyed it and definitely recommend this hotel to others!

We liked our room, it was perfect for a family. Everything was clean and well kept. The host was very friendly. The waitress at the breakfast was kind and everyone could find something delicious to eat.

Mattress could have been more comfortable
Its a family run hotel and the owners were really nice and helpful. Rooms were clean, well maintained and size was good. Breakfast was nice and fresh although can have more variety.
