How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

They did not tell us at check in that there is a strict dresscode in the dining room. Traveling from warm countries we did not have long pants or fancy dresses. The restaurant manager was very very rude and should bot be working in service. She got very mad when we wanted to move tables to be able to spoon feed our baby. We ruined her plan for the night. She made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. However our assigned waiter Gary did an outstanding job.

Verified reviewBeautiful property. In a fantastic location, connected to ski shop and lift. Food and staff are excellent. Lovely and quiet village but with amazing slopes and easy (free) access to even more in nearby Solden.
It is expensive and it was not great that having spent a week and a lot of money, when asking if a late checkout was available, being told it was €50 for 2 hours extra.

Verified reviewThe location is very good, easy access to the town, bus stop and lift. The boot room and hire shop being in the hotel are very convenient..We have two children’s so the pool was a very good addition but was too cold, the outdoor pool was warmer but small..
The cost of the rooms from 2024 to 2025 have gone up by £2000.. last year they had afternoon tea and cakes served which were included but now they don’t.. The biggest issue being in a large group with 8 children, the kids club didn’t have supervision!!! Last year it did and we booked again following the same description on booking.com… if you type in hotels with kids clubs into booking.com it will still show as having one, it’s a kids play room!..

Choice and quantity of food (breakfast and dinner) were very poor and portions were small. Hotel is big and could,restaurant look like cantina. There is no plesantness and comfort comparing to 4 stars that they represent. I didnt like hotel policy to make payment in advance, something like deposit for the drinks that I am going to order during my vacation there.

Verified reviewthe hotel is located at the entrance of the village and it is one of the biggest (and probably cheapest) in Obergurgl. Breakfast is regular but the dinner is really good. There are only one starter, one soup and the choice of one main course out of three options (so the quantity is not too much) but the quality is excellent. Nice also the heated outdoor pool, remarkable the free indoor parking garage.
We are a family of 5 and we stayed in the two-floors suite. In spite there are beds for 5 people it is definitely too small (or not well spaced). There is one double bed on the upper floor and two sofa beds on the lower floor. When the sofa beds are open it is difficult to move and not a table or a chair was there in. On the upper floor there is much empty space, why don't place a sofa bed upstairs? Blackout curtanins are not... blackout so you get up early (in the summer)

Verified reviewThe room was very spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and sauna and the pool table was appreciated. They had a juicer at the breakfast buffet which you could use to make your fresh juices everyday, very nice. The ski room was right at the hotel and conveniently connected to the rental shop. When you walked out you were directly next to the gondula. Very convenient.
We had half board which meant breakfast and dinner in the hotel. The food was good but we would have like a bit more variety. Breakfast was the same everyday and the kids buffet and the salad bar were exactly the same for the whole week. The coffee machine in the breakfast room is located at the worst spot in the restaurant, right in everyone's way. Also, there could have been two machines, there were long queues.
