Excellent location, close walk to many cafes and restaurants and a 5 min walk to the Old Town itself without being in the hustle and bustle of everything! The hotel is perfect to enjoy the days in Salzburg and stay at a central location. It is simple yet comfortable, spacious rooms and clean. Not noisy even though we were close to restaurants, windows are double glazed. We would recommend!

Parking was a 5 minute walk away, but this is normal for Alt Stadts throughout Europe!

Lovely large room with a view of the castle (only just, through a skylight, but still a view!). Room was just superb, as was breakfast We had dinner the previouse evening in the Gablerbrau brauhof underneath the hotel. One of the oldest in town, with great beer and typical Austrian fare!

There was a mix-up with the rooms (they were expecting only two people); but this was quickly solved. It did mean we didn't have rooms close together. Our room wasn't cleaned one day, but I managed to replenish the water and coffee after a visit to reception!

The location was excellent - just over the river from the 'old' town. We could walk round the city from the hotel with ease. There were plenty of places to eat and drink nearby (try the 'Nockerl'!) The rooms were very quiet, and we really liked the balcony on the third floor to enjoy a drink and snack! The split-level hotel reception was a great place to wait for the family, with free water and fruit.

The tiny windows we had to keep the blinds closed because of the angle and the sun heating up the room made you feel like you were in a box.

The welcome prosecco was a wonderful touch, and the staff were very kind and helpful. The location is amazing, a very walkable location to many cool places around Salzburg. The room was a typical hotel room, not bad, not great. We are on the top floor, which only has small high windows; it was a little claustrophobic.

We stayed for two nights. Late in the afternoon on the second day I went to reception to tell them that our room hadn't been serviced. The reception staff member assured me that it would be done. However, upon our return at around 9pm our room still hadn't been serviced. I had to go to reception to pick up clean towels. I thought this was rather poor after being told earlier in the day that it would be done.

Reception staff seemed a little cold. Reasonably helpful but not very happy. Of our 6 weeks of traveling Europe this is the only place we stayed that had a business like feel and I think that was because the reception desk wasn't at the front door. It was off to the right and up some steps so there was no staff contact unless you needed it.

Great Location! So many restaurants and cafes to choose from. So close to the old town just a 5 min stroll across the bridge and you're there! The room was small but well appointed. Breakfast was exceptional and the breakfast staff helpful and happy.

Curtains were not blackout and hard to cover the windows, could benefit from adding blinds against the windows to reduce light infiltration.

We had a great corner room with good views of the street. Fantastic location and very friendly staff. There was an elevator for getting bags to the room. Bathroom and shower good.

In such a huge suite it would have been nice to have the beds spread out rather than side by side eg on either side of the internal wall. The significant no. of windows in this apartment, many of which did not have blinds, makes for a very light apartment early in the morning in summer.

We booked the triple suite for our family of 3 adults but were upgraded to the penthouse suite on arrival which was huge. The room was very clean and comfortable and well laid out. Location was central but also quiet. Some good bars and restaurants nearby. We paid for the breakfast which we enjoyed.
