Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaWe were staying at the hotel, when there was a city celebration going on and the main stage of celebration was next to hotel, therefore we couldn’t normally sleep because of very loud music, but we really needed it as we had to drive a long way next day. When we booked this hotel for 2 nights, there was nothing mentioned about celebration in city going on, moreover, that the stage will be next to hotel. We only received a message a day before our stay, that there will be a city celebration and there will be some streets closed. Also breakfast in the 2nd day (Sunday) of our stay were poor. No air conditioner in the room.
Great location, if you would like to visit High Alpine road. Road payment as well as other activities is included in hotel price, by having Sommercard for guests, which is a really great bonus.

United KingdomNothing. Everything was perfect.
We loved the beautiful location and very friendly welcoming staff. Perfect close by safe parking. We also loved that included within the price of the room was access to the GlobGlocker Pass which was one of the reasons we were visiting the area. Bonus! Bar and restaurant for breakfast were great, Will definitely visit this place again.

BelgiumUnfortunately, they messed up when I checked in, it took too long to sort it out.
The hotel, the room and the breakfast were great. Bruck is quiet, much cheaper than Zell am See (but you don't get the guest card). Not far from the train station. There is also a pizza/kebab takeaway restaurant across the street. But no shop nearby.

PolandNothing really!
A very cozy hotel with a real family atmosphere thanks to extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean rooms, tasty breakfast and dinners. An excellent location, allowing you to relax comfortably and move between the ski resorts: Kitzsteinhorn, Schmitten and Saalbach without any problems.

PolandIt was not a pleasant surprise that the hotel charged you extra for dinner on 31.12.2023, if you booked the HB option and before your arrival and during check-in no one informed you about it. The information was during breakfast on 31.12.2023, when you can not do anything and have to accept the fact. The problem is not the amount of the extra charge, but the fact how it was implemented and informed.

Czech RepublicEverything was very nice. A little bit nitpicking though: it would be great to have a small fridge in the apartments. Also, automatic switcher of the light is awful at night (we covered it with a cloth)

United KingdomWas charged an extra €6 for tap water. I didn't realise until 2 days into the stay that every time I ask for a glass of tap water for dinner, they add €1.5 to the room bill. I never heard of an establishment that charges for tap water. I think some fair things to do could have been: A, not serving tap water, so guests could choose something else from the drinks menu. B, let guests know that the tap water costs €1.5 a glass, C, raise the cost of the half board overall by enough so you can include tap water. Tyring to get extra cash for something that is customarily free seems like a sneaky practice that I would expect from some scamy Bankog tuk tuk driver, not from the lovely, well-cultured people of Austria who usually are kind to their guests and genuinly want them to have a lovely stay. Other than that: Food: Bit of a hit or miss, our first dinner was a large buffet that was really nice, and we had a few lovely dishes, but other times the food is very salty and sugary. The low point was a 'fondue evening', that really is just self-boiling slices of meet and cheap frankfurters in a plain 'broth' with the frozen crinkle cut chips. The table next to us was trying to build towers from their sad frankfurter slices, so I think we weren't the only ones who were not impressed. Parking: There isn't as many spaces as there cars, so if you don't 'get there on time', it's the public parking lot at the other end of the road for you. Sauna: I enjoyed the sauna the most. I would say they could have made more of an effort to keep it 'stocked' though, they were usually out of sauna towels by 5:30pm, and the 'water station' was almost always empty, with no tap in the area either to hydrate after sauna sessions. Maybe they have something against water in this place...? :D
