I booked in August and honestly the weather was a bit hot most of the time but there was no air conditioning or refrigerator in the rooms.

The hostess was very helpful and kind. I liked the location of the hotel as it is close to all services. There is also private parking available at the hotel and it is free.

I can not think of anything I didn't like.

The staff were great, couldn't do more for us. Perfect location for skiing, about a 5 minute walk from the main lift and less into the town and the array of bars and restaurants. Great breakfast with a huge range of options, you won't go hungry. We didn't have dinner there but sure that would also be good. Good cakes and snacks at 3pm which was welcome after a day on the hill. Special thanks to Tommy on the bar, we kept him busy and he did his best to accommodate our music choices.

Fabulous hotel with good facilities and in a perfect location for ski lift and the village. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel because it was expensive at 25 euros per person per day, when we only eat a very small breakfast on a morning. However the restaurant did look very nice. We ate in there for evening meal once. Plus other members of our party ordered pizzas to the room which were great and good value. I would recommend the hotel.

Breakfast in the hotel was good and all staff members were extremely polite and helpful. Walking to the ski rental building and ski lift was a short 5-10 min walk. We will definately look to make a reservation in Hotel Sonnblick the next time we go skiing in Kaprun.

There is not a minibar/fridge in the room (though the hotel bar is open till late at night and guests can take food/drinks to the room). There is not a kettle/ capsule coffee machine in the room.

Cosy interior, bar & restaurant and modern, comfortable, well equipped rooms. Perfect location - 5 mins walk from city center and ski lift. Nice view to the hills. Very friendly and supportive staff. Fine three -course dinner.

Our rooms were near the stairs and lift which meant some noise in the morning with people heading down to breakfast or departing. It was not a big problem though.

Small spa centre, not so warm in the room, they say they have underground parking but it really is covered parking spaces that they charge €10 per night for.

Cannot change the temperature in the rooms. Far too hot, digital TRVs controlled remotely set at 21 degrees in the evening and overnight. They have a dial on them to adjust the temperature, but if you turn it down after a few minutes it reverts to the set point. It’s on quite a busy street so difficult to sleep with the window open, and obviously it’s not very efficient to heat a room and cool it down with the window open at the same time. Also I wasn’t allowed to take my snowboard to my room to pack and take home. Made to take my roller bag down and pack my stuff in the lobby!

Amazing breakfast, best we’ve had in any ski hotel. Great location. Rooms good standard, bar staff nice. Good value.
