Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenA great social aria and nice small rooms. We stayed 2 nights but did not eat at there. It's close to the E1 line and a resonable walk from the station. The showers are nice and clean but the bathroom and showers are shared. This did, however, not cause us any pain.

Czech RepublicI've seen cleaner sheets before The private toilet isn't a standalone tiny room, meaning your roommates can hear everything when you need to go in the middle of the night 😕

CroatiaThe only thing that bothered me a bit was the fact that there was no internet in my room. Of course you can always go to the common area, but I didn't want to.
The host was friendly and kind. The location perfect! You are close to the center, shops and the bus stop.

United StatesThe doors to the rooms didn’t have keys or a key card so it was just open all night but I still felt safe.( Just something worth noting)
Great price for Graz, very cute common space and it had multiple showers which was nice, a place to lock up my things and they provided clean beds and towels

MalaysiaThe double room I booked was too small for 2 people. There's no enclosure for the shower area, and the outlet was clogged. Thankfully, the staff was helpful and we got another room, which was a tad more spacious and with a better shower area, but it had a double bunk bed, and locking the door was tricky. Generally, the place looks worn, but it was ok for us.
The location was great, near the tram stations. All attractions were within walking distance. There's a convenience store and eateries nearby. There's a microwave oven we could use, and we can get hot water from the dining area.

CanadaCommon showers without gender-separated areas may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Great location in a side street close to all the good stuff. Fridge in the dormitory bedroom, power plug at my top bunk, wifi works. Designed to meet people and have conversations. Friendly and thoughtful owner. Unexpected/lovely living room concert in the common area when I came home one night.

United StatesYou get what you pay for. I decided to go with the mixed dorm and it was very bare. It was three triple bunch bed. I recommend snatching a bottom bunk as the mattresses are thicker. There is only a few lockers available; but everyone in the room was kind and respectful of each other. The bathroom was biggest gripe. The sink area is falling apart and there is apparent mold. There is also no lock in the shower area. So just a curtain is your privacy against everyone. As a solo female traveler, that was a bit unnerving; but I didn’t encounter any problems as no one entered the bathroom area as I was showering.
The location can’t be beat. It’s right in the center of town and the hostel doubles as vegan cafe with local activities. The woman who runs it is super nice once you get to know her. She has a great eye for refurbishing furniture and make the cafe/ common area very homey.

UkraineThe hostel is in the center close to Jakomini platz. Perhaps, when it is full, problems with toilettes and shower may be, but I was lucky staying in low demand. Keep in mind, if you come late when the hostel's door is locked, you'll find just beside the opened elevator's door the locked hostel's door with the code-lock. While you, staying in the elevator, type the code and the hostel's door 'thinks', the elevator door will try to close :)

AustraliaRoom and toilet were tiny. Shower was in an alcove behind the door with only a curtain. Bed in room was about 1m above the floor with no step - quite tricky to get in and out of. Hard to use the code to get out of the elevator as the numbers weren't visible. Entrance alleyway wasn't inviting.
Location was great. Cheap and easy.

MalaysiaThe shared toilet was for both genders, so perhaps a bit more privacy than just a shower curtain would be great.

IndiaThe height of each bunk bed is too low, one can’t sit inside the bed without banging his/her head! That means you can only sleep, and not use it to sit and read or use your laptop comfortably.
Location and breakfast. Overall, an ok place to spend a night. Staff is great.
