Breakfast was good. Not amazing, just good. The outdoor lakeside patio is nice.

The check in process is horrible. The German only email describing how to do it was impossible to follow due to the fact that I don't read German. The area in the lobby with the key lock-up seemed to always have frustrated and angry guests not able to get their key. I had to ask a German guest for help.

the rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the view was absolutely stunning. The cleaning lady was very nice and polite and big respect for her.

We were very dissatisfied. To begin with, we arrived in the evening, tired, and it was unclear how to check in. The hotel was empty. We had to look for instructions somewhere in German and translate them with a translator, and although there was a lot of text, it basically came down to just two sentences were only necessary. The breakfast was incredibly poor. Probably the most meager breakfast I’ve ever had in all my travels – and I travel a lot. In our room was empty shampoo bottle. So we were forced to find shampoo somewhere else ! Also, who in the world came up with check-out at 10 a.m. and check-in at 4 p.m.? I think it must have been invented by a very cruel person.

The location is excellent, and the hotel is really beautiful, clearly made with love. The sauna is very good, and the rooms are great too. Overall, the place is amazing except for the dust and mess. Otherwise, I would give it 10/10. Dog friendly!

Dust and lack of cleaning. When we entered our room, there was a lot of dust on the floor. In the hotel in general, you can also see dust under the tables and a general mess. It’s a real pity because the hotel is really beautiful. It’s a mystery such a lovely hotel, but it feels like there is almost no staff. I only saw about two people; to be fair, they were awesome, cleaned the room, and helped us. But I think it’s just too much work for too few people. The parking situation is not great too. But we got place every night.

We had a balcony with lake view and that was great. Nice and clean hotel with great breakfast. Location is on the opposite site of Sell am See city, so we could see the city lights and water show from our balcony

Beautiful view, the location is perfect, nice breakfast, gym&sauna was good.

The bar was closed, the jacuzzi was out of order, the electric charger for the car was out of order. It was like an off season, but it's august.

Breakfast was OK, and view from room.

Very strange check-in system, and no cleaning of room is done during the stay.

    Nothing

The hotel had no reception or staff available to assist with the check-in process, which made the entire experience very frustrating. There was no clear signage or instructions, and many guests were visibly confused and lost at the entrance, unsure of how to access their rooms. To make matters worse, no housekeeping ever showed up, even though we clearly placed the “clean my room” sign on the door. The view from our room was disappointing, as it faced the hillside with no scenic value, despite the impression given when booking. It’s important to note that not all rooms have a lake view, and this was not made clear in advance. If you’re expecting a picturesque lake view, be aware that only select rooms offer that, while others, like ours, look out onto a plain hill or building wall.

A wonderful hotel in a peaceful location, away from the busy atmosphere of Zell am See. The breakfast was rich and varied, and the view was absolutely stunning. The room itself was beautiful, and the soap and shampoo provided were of high quality — really lovely touches. Big thanks to Brigitte from the restaurant — she was incredibly helpful and kind

The room could use better ventilation — either a fan or air conditioning would help. The check-in process was a bit confusing, and it would be better if someone from the reception was available or if clearer instructions were provided. Also, there was no electric kettle in the room, which would have been useful.

We had no issues with check-in process when we arrived at 10pm. After we opened the room, we left luggage there and took our dog for a walk before sleep. When we returned, we could not open the door of the room because access card was not working. We've contacted Hotel's support line to find out that there was no option to open this door due to stuff absence, Hotel's representative sounded very amused by this situation and suggested to wait until the next morning. As you can see, there was a physical keyhole and I asked Hotel's support multiple times whether there could be a physical key in the building to open the door, I just could not believe that they don't have some master-key for emergencies. Then I've contacted booking.com support, spent 50 min on phone explaining that we left our luggage including passports and credit cards in the room and we had no place to sleep. Booking.com representative explained that they are only intermediary company and refused to relocate us for that night or to help to find another place with 24h reception where we could sleep. Honestly I always booked at booking.com in order to avoid this kind of situation and never expected that one day I would be left to sleep at reception.

Then we've reached local police in Zell am See, the policemen contacted Hotel's support line again and got the same reply: no options to open the door until the next morning. We had to go to another Hotel in Zell am See with 24h reception and paid 350 EUR for 7 hours of sleep. The next morning I was contacted by Hotel's representative and they advised us to return by 10am. When we arrived at 10am, we found only 2 cleaning ladies in breakfast room, they tried to open the room with their cards but unsuccessfully. I have contacted Hotel's support lines multiple times, they advised to wait until some staff to arrive. By 11am the situation got critical because our dog is eating dietary food and this food was locked in the room, his medical condition does not allow huge gaps between meals. My husband went to police again, I was still waiting for someone to open the door. When I've contacted the Hotel's support again for the 5th time and explained the situation, a lady who spoke to me just navigated me back to lockers, provided me a code and with a master-card I opened the room 13 hours after the first time I had contacted them. I was shocked because this situation could have never happened if they let me ( okay, they don't trust Guests) or the policemen know that the master-card was in the building. On top of it, they denied full refund when we explained that we were leaving immediately. I've contacted booking.com for assistance with full refund and after 1 month got no reply. Horrible experience, I stayed in apartment hotels before, I really advise to property management to replace cards by physical keys at least. I would also appreciate full refund because no one would continue their stay after being locked out for the night.

The location and breakfast were nice. There was small cozy wellness at the hotel as well.

Overall value for money, the fridge was broken (which we needed), the floor in the bathroom was not that clean I found hair...plus there was no one at the reception during the weekend when we arrived, and no restaurant, but I guess that is manageable when you have a car and can go somewhere to eat.

    Property response:

Hello Machalikova, thank you very much for sharing your experience. We’re happy you enjoyed the location, breakfast as well as the cozy wellness area. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with the fridge and the bathroom floor. This does not reflect our usual standard, and we’ll make sure to look into it. At Keyone, we rely on digital solutions and therefore don’t always have staff at the reception, but our support team is available anytime to assist. Thank you again for staying with us. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back and provide a better overall experience. With best regards, Your Keyone Team
