Beautiful hotel overlooking Salzburg in quiet surroundings. We loved being a bit outside the city centre with beautiful views from our balcony. I imagine the walk down to the city was enjoyable but we didn't have time. Receptionist was lovely and very welcoming (and quite understanding when I nearly drove off without paying - thought it was already paid for). A nice breakfast in a spacious dining room. We drove into the city and had a traditional Austrian dinner at FUXN which was recommended by the hotel. We visited the salt mines from here which I'd also recommend

Hotel is on a mountain and you must have a car or call taxi to reach city centre. Public transport needs 1 km walk down the hill. Its quite steep

The hotel was not air-conditioned. Generally it is presumably not an issue, but it was extremely hot during our stay. The outside pool helped a lot :).

Staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. It is not possible to walk to the centre of Salzburg from the hotel due to steep hill and lack of pavements.

We didn’t have a car so getting “home” was always exerting, yet worth it.

The views from our balcony were magical. Each evening we enjoyed as the setting sun transitioned to darker skies studded with stars and the twinkling lights of Salzburg below. Also, so refreshing to dip in the pool and meet travelers from all over. The ambiance of the setting was echoed in the staff- all was so hospitable.

Our room was rather small and hot at night. Would have appreciated tea/coffee facilities and a mini fridge.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Our room had a lovely view. Breakfast was great. We had an excellent dinner our first night, and were disappointed that the next two nights the restaurant was closed. We found this often in Austria, that restaurants closed Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Rather than drive into Salzburg where the historic centre is closed to traffic, we used Uber in and back each day, that worked really well.

The hangers in the closet could be better. The restaurant could have a lot more interesting food and better options for vegetarians. The staff could be a lot more friendly and cheerful. The pillows were way too soft!

It's high up on a hill so great views. The room is very basic but convenient. It had a balcony, that was nice and a great view of the city. If you don't have a car the reception can call you a taxi.

The hotel itself was a little tired but it was clean, had comfortable beds, a hot shower and a very good breakfast. The outstanding thing were the magnificent views over Salzburg and the Alps. It was sensational. We didn't have a car but a 10 minute walk down the hill got us to the bus stop where in 15 minutes we were in the heart of Salzburg at the Mirabell palace. From there everything is walking distance. If you don't want to tackle the fairly steep hill on your return it's a 7 euro Uber from the bus stop. The bus is free.

Missed having tea and coffee facilities in our room. The menu for the restaurant was limited and would have preferred more choice.

The hotel has wonderful views of Salzburg, the rooms were clean and tidy, the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and gluten free bread was provided when requested.
