Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe hotel has 3 separate buildings, Rezeption and Restaurant at one end, Pool area at the other end. There was a lot of walking between our room and the Restaurant and the underground car park. The hotel has got an outside car park but it would only take max. 25 cars. It's a big hotel and the car Park was always full. The underground car park is 9 € per day. We only booked room and breakfast. There is halfboard available which is a buffet. We tried it once. It was ok but for 20 € very basic. The breakfast was also ok. I expected to have more choices what to put on my bread.
Nice old building but looking a bit tired in places. Big room with balcony, bathroom with walk-in shower, separate toilet, big comfy bed. Room cleaned perfectly every day.

Czech RepublicThe variety of food to choose from. The breakfast options were literally the same every day (leven tho there was nice variety of sweet stuff as cakes, etc.) and for dinner there were only a little or almost no protein options to choose from (e.g.fried chicken, leberkase, bolognese sauce and once there was beef :/) The gym is prehistoric and most of the machines basically destroyed. Treadmill and other aerobic equipment is basically not working except for 1. It really needs cleaning and reconstruction. And its weird since the cleaniness of pool area and hotel itself is really decent.
Good value for the money -halfboard, nice spacious room with nice and clean bathroom, clean hotel, friendly stuff.

BelgiumSome warming device in the badroom, it was a little chill, and the towels were still damp the next day. But when changed every day, it was OK.
It felt like a castle (it was a Schloss). A nice and big room. Good food, and very good service with friendly people.

SloveniaCleanliness, while it was generally ok, rooms could and should be cleaner in some spots. We had several rooms, one room was never cleaned during the stay, nobody vacuumed under the bed in another room for quite some time. Not to mention one room wasn't ready at 15.00 on our arrival. Bed mattress in a third room felt like sleeping on a floor, too hard. Wooden floor boards on the "bridge" should get oiled, as they make really loud squeaky noises
Breakfast was quite good and tasty, kids loved croissants, variety of eggs prepared in all sorts of ways. The pool and sauna are a nice touch, give you a feeling of privacy and are not too crowded. Play area and pool table occupied the teenagers, even thou they had to pay to play. If you need something from the market it is across the street. The location is perfect to drive around to other towns like Zell am See, Kitzbuhl... Did not have the option to ski, as we arrived in October, so can't help there.

United StatesOlder furnishings if u prefer newer & modern. We liked the old style for a change of pace.
Very quaint & charming. The rooms have unique features from a bygone castle era. The spa, pool & wellness center are great especially if u use it a lot. Their breakfast & dinner buffets were sumptuous & offered a wide selection. Close enough to walk from train station.

GermanyCompared to last year there was absolutely NOBODY in the Kids club this year + no minidisco as well Our room seemed to have a kitchen but we never got the keys to open it AirHockey table didnt have pucks to play with You should do a better effort to get the food signs right....there was a chocolate cake that had alcohol and all kids eating it Ideally it makes more sense to have more fresh fruit variety during breakfast, not in the dinner
pool, sauna, the service in the taverna was great....same in the restaurant!

United Arab EmiratesOur room was only cleaned once during 5 days. We could have been told on arrival about the guest card that gives free public transport and discounts. All check ins were after 3, which meant queues and waiting at reception, this could have been achieved with checkin earlier, but room allocation at 3. Hotel taxes should be charged at the start of the stay.
Rooms were spacious, the bartender in the taverna was very friendly. The hotel was unique and very interesting with the castle theme. They gave each guest a free drink for arrival and the breakfast was well stocked.

United KingdomWe were surprised to have to pay 9 Euros to park in the underground car park as all the exterior spaces were full. They did however give us a complementary welcome drink.
Exceptionally friendly and professional staff. Quirky hotel and it was lovely having breakfast with our dog on the outside patio. There was also a nice riverside walk just outside.

IrelandThe room was very warm with no option to control temperature other than opening the window.
- Very old castle, which was interesting to walk around. - half board option worked well, and the food quality was decent every evening. - Very attentive and friendly staff. - They have supervised kids club on in the evening time for an hour, which my son was very happy about! - The pool area is great, and there's lots for kids to do around the hotel.

Great hotel in old castle style. Sauna, pool. Great breakfast and dinner. 4min by car from ski area fieberbrun saalbach. Fieberbrun ski slopes are north oriented, so the snow quality is better even afternoon in warmer time like in March.
