Everything was perfect for a short stay in Mondsee

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the entire stay was very comfortable. The location allows to explore Mondsee and the lakes nearby. The hotel is located in the old town and within a short walking distance from the lake shore.

Room is large and comfortable, location is in the middle of the town, very nice garden, breakfast on the terrace beautiful. Free parking nearby. Very nice walking ways, beautiful lake.

The beautifully renovated monastery converted into a hotel is the best place to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the small town and the lake. The rooms are nicely renovated and still in good shape. The breakfast was excellent, both in terms of the choice of food and its taste, I especially appreciated the pastries 😋 Another advantage of this hotel is that you can rent citybikes for free. Since there are bike paths around the lake, bikes are great for exploring the area 👍

This is an exceptional hotel. We had 4 very enjoyable nights here. Room was a good size , modern shower, well equipped and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning in the courtyard which had an extensive choice and plenty of staff to ensure that it ran smoothly. Dinner was in the Benedictus Restaurant for 3 nights which was first rate. They have a wide ranging menu from burgers , schnitzels to more expensive fare. The last night we tried the ‘tapas’ restaurant which was a surprising change and equally first rate. The setting is fantastic and the small town is delightful . Underground parking and direct access to the hotel was useful to have as we toured the area each day and knew we had ample parking on our return. Finally the staff were a credit to the hotel , from the lady that cleaned our room each day to the reception staff and everyone that ran the breakfasts and restaurants.

We liked everything

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade for a special occasion, which we are very grateful for. The room we received was absolutely stunning—spacious, full of historical charm, and beautifully designed. We travel often and stay at many hotels, but this unique two-level room really had a wow effect on us. It was exceptionally spacious and had a style all its own. The staff were very polite and helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and had a great experience at the restaurant. We genuinely liked everything. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely like to return to this wonderful hotel.

The hotel was in renovation, the hallways were a little spooky. Also, the pool was small and the water a little chilly.

The room was large, newly renovated and really clean, beautiful interior garden, nice restaurant/bar. The location was amazing, right in the centre of the town, near a lot of restaurants, shops and only a short walk away from the lake. I also liked the fact that parking was free of charge.

We were upgraded to a beautiful suite which had heating problems. The 1 heating element in the living room didn't work. So they gave us a space heater.

Excellent location, friendly staff, beautiful building makes you feel like staying in a castle. The dinner at Benediktus restaurant and breakfast were amazing. The breakfast buffet has huge variety and choices.

Elegant, beautiful hotel and grounds in the centre of Mondsee and 2 mins from the shore. Eight next to the Christmas market and church. Easy underground parking. Great breakfast, wonderful staff. Room included sofa which is rare.

Automatic light in the room near the bed where the sensor could not be turned off, causing the light to go off in the middle of the night if we turned too much. The hotel and room was animal-friendly (which is great!) but the room was not very clean due to this (animal hair on floor and bedsheets, decent amount of dust, stained robes).

Good breakfast, lots of options. Nice and spacious room, friendly and helpful front desk. Great location for easy access to the town and the nearby lakes and mountains. Sauna and wellness area was great, good options for different temperature saunas and a silent room with day beds for relaxation. Filtered water stations throughout the hotel as well.

We had a very nice room with a loft which we never used. The only disappointment was a very small window with light. Thank goodness the sun was out and we didn't stay indoors.

Perfect spot to see Mondsee and local community. Great hotel. Super friendly and breakfast was amazing! Clean and easy walking distance to the see. Plus free bikes for a day trip to see the see. The spa was a bonus!

I wish I was informed about underground parking fees and city tax in advance. I do not mind the money, I just do not like "surprises". Booked through Bookingdotcom, maybe the info was there and I just overlooked it.

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel, very quiet at night, very enjoyable breakfast, nice restaurants on location. Did not have the chance to experience the spa, unfortunately.

What a lovely place to stay. Hotel upgraded and doubled the size of our room to two floor Executive Suite. Very friendly and helpfull stuff. Good bed, spacious room, big bathroom, two separated toilets, minibar, coffee machine and a beautiful view to the garden. Good breakfast, good food and friendly waiterer in restaurant. Perfect location in city center near the lake Mondsee between Salzburg and Hallstatt. Schloss hotel, basilika, museum, restaurants, spa and carage, all in the same building.
