Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainWe had a few spiders and cobwebs in the room which was unpleasant. The bathroom also was pretty old and worn so it had the appearance of not being very clean.
Convenient location, dog friendly, decent beds.

UkraineOne small downside: there’s no kettle or fridge in the room, so you’ll have to rely on the restaurant for hot drinks or cold storage.
Spacious rooms with working air conditioning – a real comfort during summer. There’s a restaurant right in the hotel, which is very convenient after a long drive. The private parking area is large and free, but it’s open-air, without a barrier, and not immediately obvious from the road – easy to confuse with the public one nearby, so watch for the signs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nearby you’ll find gas stations and shops – everything you might need if you’re passing through Linz on your trip. Overall, a comfortable and practical choice for a short stay.

RomaniaHowever, the reception area was not well marked and quite difficult to find upon arrival. Also, the shower drain in the bathroom was very slow, which was a bit unpleasant.
I stayed one night at Rosenberger Motor-Hotel Ansfelden in Linz and found it to be a convenient and comfortable stop. The room was clean and I especially appreciated how close the hotel is to the highway – perfect for travelers passing through. The breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of food, and I particularly enjoyed the coffee.

RomaniaGood transit location, but the hotel is really close to the highway and if you're not a deep sleeper you will most probably hear the noise made by the cars on the highway at night. The restaurant is pretty basic, just a few options available, more like a fast food, and it is quite expensive for what it offers
Clean room, easy to reach, easy check-in process, friendly staff

SerbiaVery "poor" looking room, reminds me of the 80s era. No basic ammenities - fridge, kettle, etc. And most important of all - in the digital 21st century, with so many electronic devices people carrying with themselves, there is only one (???) power plug in the whole room and two in the bathroom! Ridiculous.. This hotel is in dire need of renovation.
Location - near the highway which is perfect if you need a qucik stay when you're travelling by car.

BulgariaThere is no minibar at the room, so if you need to put something in a refrigerator you will have go ask on reception if they can place it somewhere for you. They were kind to do so, also the guy at reception was very polite and assisted us with whatever we needed. We did not like the sliding bathroom door, because it was extremely hard to pull.
Big clean rooms, soap and body wash available, clean towels and bedsheets. It was quiet even though it was near a road. Late check-in was convenient.

GermanyThe room and bathroom could definitely do with a re-vamp. Bathroom floor a bit grotty and found mould.

Netherlandsthe total overpriced disaster when it comes to food. We spent 40 euros on a can of beer, spaghetti Bolognese and Schnitzel with potato wedges, but the quality was mediocre. Glad we did not pay for the breakfast, 14.5 EUR/ person. pro-tip: visit the McDonalds or Shell *before* driving to the hotel (it is not possible to drive back, so you have to walk 300m)
budget hotel - good value, free parking, basic rooms but sufficient for one night.

Romania- The bathroom door is sliding and slightly away from the wall, which leaves an unclosed space (lack of privacy). - Although the room has a modern design, the walls are covered with orange plastic panels, which electrostatically attract dust. This had not been wiped for some time, including through the cabinets. It would need to be wiped more often. Otherwise it was clean.
A good hotel for a stopover when you have a long journey and don't want to pay a lot for a hotel in the middle of the city. The hotel is located a little bit back from the highway, behind a parking lot, which reduces the noise. Secure free parking, under the hotel, separate from the truck parking lot. Entrance to the hotel directly from the parking lot, after reception closes.
