Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyMy only major complaint is that the rooms on our side all shared a smoking balcony, with ashtrays at each door. This meant that our non-smoking room had a constant faint smell of cigarettes and it wasn't possible to keep the door to the balcony open even a crack during the day because of the smoke.
This was perfectly fine for the price, had a bit of a hostel feel, and we were satisfied. We were in one of the smaller rooms, with two single beds, and even had a bit of a view. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nothing fancy but it was generous, varied, and fresh. There were two small parking lots--one beside the hotel and one a building over. We paid an additional 5 euro per dog per night. It was about 20 minutes to drive into Innsbruck. The next town over had a grocery store. Some hiking trails into the Alps started just a block away from the hotel, which was convenient.

United KingdomThe hotel is in a small village with a handful of very expensive restaurants. If you want to explore Austria you need a car. It’s a 20 minute drive to Innsbruck and 7 minutes to Seebalt. Both are lovely and worth a visit. The hotel restaurant was empty when we arrived, but the prices looked reasonable. The hotel room walls are thin. The person next door had their television on all night!! The church bells outside the hotel ring at 7am !! So if you’re unlucky like me, you won’t get much sleep. When we arrived there was no one at the reception desk. They left a note in an envelope in German telling us where our room was. After 10 minutes on Google translate trying to read our note, we found our room. The keys were left on the table. We went out for the evening and came back at 10pm. Still no one at reception, but someone from the bar with a sullen unsmiling face helped me to find a parking space because all the spaces were taken. I have no idea if he worked there. I think the staff were all drinking in the bar and talking very loudly together as they were all in uniform seated around a table with drinks. I don’t think they were too bothered about helping the guests. Odd way to run a business ! Woke up and still no one at the reception desk.
We had a family room on the 2nd floor. Two adults and 2 children. Rooms were dated but very clean. The lay out is superb. The two rooms were separated by a kitchen for privacy and each room had a telly and plenty of space with a shared balcony with other rooms. Thankfully we didn’t see them. The bathroom is new, well decorated and very clean with hot water. I enjoyed staying here.

United KingdomThe only bad thing was the shower, as the floor wasn't in the right direction to let the water from the shower goes in the hole, and due of not curtains or door instead shower, the water almost went inside the bedroom.
Nice hotel and nice room, the owner (i guess) very gentle, arrived late and the kitchen closed she let us have a dinner, nice food and nice beer. The room was big enough, and large bathroom

The location is great, it’s very traditional and we appreciated that we had room with an amazing view. The lady working there even let us have breakfast just after they closed as we overslept which was lovely of her

Czech RepublicThe hotel and restaurant does not take cards, which is quite strange. The room does not have a kettle.
Parking is pretty large and the check in went smoothly. The room and especially the bathroom was spacious. There's a restaurant/pub right in the hotel, which we went to for drinks in the evening. Breakfast is good.

United KingdomNothing but it's worth noting it's cash only on site. There is a bank & cash machine in the village so it's not really an issue.
This hotel is charming in a beautiful location. Our room was spacious and modern with a gorgeous balcony to take advantage of the views. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel restaurant served fabulous food in the evening as well.
