Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe area is lively, so it can be noisy at night due to nearby bars and restaurants. Rooms can get warm; no fan or air conditioning is provided (only option is to open windows, which adds more noise). Breakfast time is limited (7:30–9:30), which may feel too short for some guests. Parking is not free (7€ per day in the garage, 9€ outside), plus an additional tourist tax not included in booking price. If your room is near the garage building, walking to reception and the breakfast area can be confusing at first.
Spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds, a separate toilet, and balcony views. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of options (fresh bread, croissants, eggs, bacon, cheese, muesli, fruits, juices, coffee/tea). Property is well-maintained, close to shops, restaurants, pubs, and ski lifts (Penkenbahn and Ahornbahn) and the famous Olpererhutte is 30 min away Strong Wi-Fi, reliable hot water, and relaxing in-room facilities like a sofa. Very helpful and friendly staff — even late at night they gave clear parking instructions. Convenient link to Hotel Strass with additional facilities. Great location for exploring Mayrhofen, with a lively atmosphere and plenty to do.

NetherlandsCheap empty pillows, few breakfast options and too short time range that breakfast is available (7.30-9.30), paid parking that might not have an available spot for you to park. During our stay there was a street party which led to the closing off of the street where the hotel/parking was on. Hotel didn't inform us about it. When we called to ask how to reach the parking the hotel suggested to park at another parking location, where was paid parking as well. And even though we already had paid for hotel parking we had to pay 26 euros extra for a night at the other parking garage. Hotel didn't reimburse us for it.

Czech RepublicThe choice at breakfast was very limited and the same each day. There was no fridge in our room.
Our room was actually larger than what it looked when we booked it. There was enough room for all the clothes we had, the toilet was separate from shower. There was a bathtub, too. Even though there was a noisy group of teenagers in the hotel our room was quiet and we were not disturbed at all. Decent WiFi connection in our room. Some rooms can get interconnected - for larger families, groups... The hotel is not a modern one, it is a 90's retro. But it was very clean and well-maintained - nothing was rusty, broken, etc. Good value for money in Mayrhofen. What a location! The hotel is very close to the Penkenbahn cable car valley station - a 100m walk. It is right on the main shopping street, 50m from a Spar supermarket, close to a few Aprés Ski places. There are other shops in the neighbourhood - sports clothing, souvenirs, pet food, a pharmacy... A spacious, well-heated ski room with a carpet. Some chairs would be handy there, though. The description made an impression that staff speak only Danish and English but the manager spoke good German, too. A very friendly, supprotive staff. Parking in the backyard.

United KingdomWhilst the location was excellent for access to the ski lifts, its location on the high street meant it was very noisy (into the early hours of the morning). The breakfast food was fine, but eating in the dark pub of the hotel was not a great ambiance! The room was not cleaned on any day. The entrance to the pension is rather unwelcoming!
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The host was pleasant.

DenmarkNoisy location - disco is a neighbour and walls / windows cant hold out the noise. If you are sleeping light you may get a problem here. Bed was too short for tall guy and it had edges at the end so I could not stretch.
Good breakfast. Perfect location if going skiing. Room was large with table and bench / couch so you could sit with computer.
