However, there was a significant issue with the parking information. It was not mentioned clearly in the booking details that guests must park outside the Old Town and either walk or use a shuttle service to reach the hotel. We were on a longer trip and therefore had multiple pieces of luggage, which made this arrangement quite inconvenient. To make things more difficult, we only received the detailed parking instructions one day before departure. It would be much better if this information were explained clearly in the booking description or sent by email immediately after booking, so guests can plan and pack accordingly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, which we really appreciated. The view and location were great.

Ideally placed a short walk away from the busy centre, very calm and quiet. Beautiful view of the lake from the balcony, spent all our evenings there. Very nice hosts.

The bathroom was not cleaned properly. They need to add a fridge in the room for the drinks and food. It’s a humidity place they should add also Air cond or fan.

Nothing really, we enjoyed everything, I don't have any complaints other than the free Wi-Fi was very weak in our room.

Everything, the hosts were very kind and friendly. The rom was very cozy and with an AMAZING view. There were very nice amenities and loved how there was a very nice swimming area.

We cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The views from the room are out of this world. And Isabelle was so accommodating and helpful. Perfect location to wander into the town, but enjoy the peace.

The room was clean apart from the night stands. There were hairs on them when I arrived.

The view was stunning, the facility was adorable and I felt safe and comfortable. The owners were very lovely and helpful.

Perfectly positioned right on the lake. We loved sitting on the lawn enjoying our evening drinks and nibbles. Pension Sarstein is away from the busy part of Hallstatt (which makes it very peaceful) but still very close to walk from the ferry. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. Absolutely stunning views from our balcony. The Fischers (hosts) are delightful people and make sure all guests are warmly welcomed. We loved our three night stay here.

More of a suggestion than a dislike, but new (softer) towels and linen would have made this a 10/10.

Great position on the lake, lovely to be able to sit and relax under an umbrella and take a cool dip in the lake especially on a hot day after lots of walking.

No microwave usage. Found the eating out in the local area hard work and would have appreciated some independent cooking facilities at the property.

Loved the use of the sauna and direct access to the lake, in a quieter spot in Hallstatt.

Great location & beautiful views of the lake from our bedroom window. Nice garden area for sun bathing or swimming. Lovely friendly helpful hosts who had our room ready as we arrived a little early. Great communication & information on how to get to the property. Lots of stairs to keep you fit & a beautiful breakfast room with kitchen facilities which we used to make our lunches. A lounge room with large windows & the most incredible view of the lake & where you can also access the internet.

Beautiful setting, with apartment overlooking the lake. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was really helpful & kindly got us some shopping in as we arrived on a Sunday. Also provided maps, summer pass & sightseeing suggestions. Made use of the garden & chairs provided but not brave enough to swim in the lake!

Isabelle was very friendly and gave us lots of good advice about the town. The location was quiet, the room was a good size and had good amenities. The view from our balcony over the lake was amazing.

The location was incredible, right on the water and out of the way from the busy market square so it was lovely and quiet. The view from the balcony was so beautiful! Karen and her husband were so lovely and willingly to give advice to best see the town. The room was large but ALWAYS warm and cosy with everything you need.

It is a chalet so mostly made of wood. Stairs screech and it is uphill walk from boat station and alot of stairs to go down to get hot water. People with mobility issues can have problems. Rooms have tiled floors so it is quiet in the rooms.

Staff helped plan the activities. Pass for certain discounts as I stayed 4 nights.Lawn on the lake with unforgettable views and free tea available in the breakfast room all day plus a refrigerator for guests to use and a kettle. Laundry service which takes 24 hours but reasonable price.Balcony with full windows that open. Very quiet hotel at night in a peaceful sleepy town.Balconies with chairs n table so u could enjoy a meal with those views.Comfy matress firm.
