What a lovely place! Pension Hinterseer is in a top location — quiet, yet just a short walk from the center of Kitzbühel. You can really feel the love and care in all the little details throughout the house. Our room was comfortable and beautifully kept, with a nice balcony overlooking the mountains. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. And the garden — absolutely wonderful! Having breakfast outside in the sunshine, surrounded by flowers and mountain views, was a real treat. It felt like a little celebration every morning. I would definitely stay here again!

Personally I found the decoration of the rooms a bit dark for my taste.

The appartment worked well for us both as a bedroom and as a meeting place for my family. Sauna was a nice add-on. The hotel is well placed for access to the slopes provided you are a good enough skier to get down the 21 red (it is not easy in slush conditions!)

Walk up from Kitz downtown a bit tough. Too steep but manageable. The price to pay of being in the middle of the slopes. Helpful if dinner is too big.

Place to be in Kitz. Ski in Ski out. Hinterseer family very warm and close.

Pension Hinterseer has a great location just up the hill from the Hahnenkammbahn gondola. There is a large room for ski storage (including boot driers) and for gearing up. Step out of that room to the backyard, ski about 500 feet down the hill, and then walk another couple hundred feet to the gondola. Most of the ski runs are further up the mountains from the top of the main gondola from town, so you likely won't be on that same gondola for the rest of your ski day. To get back to the pension, ski down run #21 almost to the bottom. This will take you to within about 300 feet of the pension, on the opposite side of the road from where you started in the morning. If #21 is beyond your skill level, you can also take the gondola back down. There is convenient ski rental and service right at the base of the gondola. Breakfast is very nice with made-to-order eggs each morning. There's a wood burning fireplace in the common area that is great for an après-ski beverage with other guests. (The hosts will usually have some firewood ready; just light it up.) There is a large patio area that overlooks the gondola cars going up the mountain and the valley below. There are two saunas; a traditional stove type as well as an infra-red type. There is plenty of free parking right in front of the pension. Kitzbühel town center is about a 10-minute walk. The uphill return trip is a little steep, but that's good for you after the schnitzel you'll have had for dinner. Besides all that, what really makes this pension special are the hosts, Kersten and Guido. They are very relaxed and welcoming, and they can assist with recommendations and dinner reservations which can be difficult on Sundays and Mondays when many restaurants are closed. The Hinterseer family has a great history of competitive skiing, and the pension is filled with trophies, medals and historic pictures.

In the morning we love to lie in bed a little bit more but the cleaning lady was waking us up very early! But this is not bad fot the ones who want to enjoy the first snow in the morning! :)

The host is great, very kind and helpful. Comfy bed! Very good location and breakfast! Excelent coffee! Champions in HOSPITALITY! Welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere! I REALLY RECOMAND IT!

Clean, quiet, beautiful location, excellent views from room #10, delicious breakfast, and friendly hosts! Loved laying in our room, looking out the window at the beautiful mountains and the gondola gliding by!!

The location is perfect. although there is a big hill to walk when coming back from the pub!!! Breakfast is always fresh and great variety including eggs any which way you would like them!! on one of the days even the open fire was on when we came down for breakfast!! Fab

Breakfast was great! Super attentive staff. Hotel is significantly nicer than the photos. Great location. Close to town but also far enough to relax. Incredibly cozy and welcoming. Photos of the family and trophy’s made it feel special. 10/10 would recommend. Easy parking.

Amazing location wonderful skiing family runs this place fabulous breakfast super convenient hundred yards from town. Great ski room. This is the place to stay in Kitzbühel.

There is a hill up to the property after you’ve been in the town but it’s well worth it for such a nice stay

The most comfortable stay in such a perfect hotel. The room was perfect and the breakfast was great each morning! I could not recommend staying here more the lovely fire in the evenings really made it so enjoyable

The hotel was great. There were not a lot of restaurants in the area which was a bit inconvenient but we came to ski.

Great location, can ski right out the door. Friendly, clean, beds were comfortable, wifi worked. What more can you ask for?

Felt so welcome like I was coming home to Pension Hinterseer, really was staying in winter ski luxury. Could not rate highly enough, location, staff, food, facilities were all second to none!

The Pension Hinterseer was a beautiful authentic Austrian Swiss chalet. The living and dining areas were extremely comfortable and charming details like wood beamed ceiling and fireplace…lots of hygge. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The hosts Guido and Kerstin very kind.

The only minor point is the steep hill which you have to walk up from Kitzbuhel centre. However, the reward is incredible views from the property.

A beautiful pension with stunning views across the Kitzbuhel valley. Immaculately maintained by the hosts. Fabulous breakfast served on the outdoor patio with beautiful views. The rooms are well-appointed, are very clean and have balconies facing across the valley. The pension is very close to the bottom of the Hahnenkamm cable car.
