A Home-run hostel with fiendly staff. They offered excellent breakfast everyday. Just a 30-min bus ride to the city centre and the bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the pension. They also offered free transport pass throughout your stay! Nice neighborhood and you will find yourself surrounded by natural scenery !

Situated right at the base of Untersberg mountain , this pension stay is exceptional. Clean rooms and quick service. We had an amazing stay of 4 nights here. Views from here are breathtakingly beautiful! Bus no. 5 and no. 25 connect you directly to Salzburg main train station and city centre. The bus stop is 5 mins walk from the hotel. Overall an amazing place.

A fridge in our room would have been great, even better a kettle for night time drinks.

A lovely German lady runs this Pension; she was very helpful with brochures and maps of the area. Nice room with a view of the cable cars going up the mountain. Out of the hustle and bustle.Close to bars and restaurants. Regular buses nearby go into Salzburg every 20 mins. Buses take between 12 and 40 mins, depending on which one you catch. Easy drive into city. Great breakfast was included, to start our day. Plenty of parking.

We had an amazing stay in Pension Bergfried. The host is really friendly and accommodating and knows a lot about what to do in the area. The pension is located in a beautiful area with a lovely view and the bus to Salzburg is really close by. The centre of Grodig has a couple of really nice places to eat and grab a drink. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice place to stay, close to Salzburg and Untersbergbahn (10 minutes walk). Delicious breakfast, nice and helpful owners, safe parking available. Room is cosy, comfortable with balcony, highly recommend.
