About 20 min walk to St Gilgen village, shops and wharf for ferry. Ok if you’re fit. Also had to get taxi to and from the main bus stop as too far to walk with luggage. Only 10 euro each way though.

Views and gardens are incredible. Room was great, breakfast good. Staff are excellent. Free use of paddle boats, tennis court, bathing house on the lake. Could have stayed longer.

The boathouse should be maneged In case of a que in my opinion. It is very easy to forget time when you are on the lake.

Unfortunately we seemed to have one of the only TVs in the hotel that didn't have netflix, etc. which considering it rained for 4.5 out of the 7 days we were there would have been nice. But we managed and enjoyed every day anyway!

The location of the hotel, the view of the lake and the mountains from the room, a large and spacious room with a large bathtub and lots of storage space. Very good breakfast. We also enjoyed dinner very much. Safe parking for the car, but most importantly, the welcome and smile of the staff.

The food options were limited and didn’t quite meet expectations. I would not choose the dining experience there. There was also no service by the lake, so if you wanted a drink, you had to go to the bar and bring it down yourself.

The hotel provided a great range of amenities, including a well-maintained tennis court, free paddle boarding, and paddle boats, which made the stay both active and enjoyable. The lake access and the view were stunning. The villa’s historical background added charm, and the staff were friendly.

Lighter fluffier duvets would be good. Bathing area steps into the water were very slippery. There was no hot water in the bathing area changing room - could an instantaneous electric water heater be installed? A sauna would also be nice.

Lovely location and easy pleasant walk to village centre. We upgraded to a large tastefully furnished room with balcony on the top floor of the modern extension and had a fine view. Our bathroom was modern and the shower very effective. The period ambience of public rooms in the main building was well preserved but with modern touches. Everything looked very clean and well maintained. Good buffet breakfast with everything fresh and counters promptly topped up. Very pleasant cheerful staff. Good well-kept garden and bathing area. Nice, generously sized fluffy bathrobes.

No AC condition in the room, when I open windows to cool down in the night, the smoking from next room balcony made me and kid felt bad. Because it is allows to smoking on the balcony.

The property is stylish, luxurious, expansive, well maintained and includes excellent parking. The reception and restaurant staff were very courteous and efficient. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet included an outstanding selection of savoury and sweet offerings. Coffee was great. The local environment is very quiet and feels safe, and the town of St Gilgen is quaint and beautiful. Our room had magnificent views of Wolfgangsee. Make sure that you travel up to Mount Zwölferhorn on the cable car for some spectacular views of the surrounding regions. Overall, this is a superb property that is also great value for money.
