There was a big spider at the bathroom sink and hair in the drain of the shower. It did not look super clean. The facility needs some renovation. The breakfast was basic but it was ok for us.

We booked very last minute (4pm the day we went) and we could check in at 23:30 without any problem The host was helpful explaining to us where to find the free coffee and tea. We had a nice chat after the breakfast, which was included at the price. We chose this hotel as it was one of the best value in the area and we just needed a place to sleep on the way to Slovenia. It had everything we needed. The owner has a super nice dog, which was very friendly with my children.

We reserved half-board and were not informed that dinner runs 18:00-19:00. We arrived at 19:15 and got no dinner at all, not any compensation. The bathroom was clean, yet quite unkept (stains and mold).

The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient. Good for a one night stay when on the road. It had some games for the kids.

It was a old house it would be Great IF they renovating a little becouse it was a very old smell in the hall / stares. It smell like from the old 70th. Old cigaretts or something. If they only take away the (heltäckningsmatta) on the floor it woulfd be soo greate. But it was good located and it was good cleaning in the room

Less of a hotel, more of a hostel feel due to a shortage of staff. Finding someone to ask about meals, transport or replacement lightbulbs was tricky.

The drinks situation was good value, the accommodation price and location were good.

Heating wasn't working in our bathroom, so it was cold after taking a shower, and it was also quite cold in the dining area. Breakfast could've been more diverse, and rooms could use at least painting the walls. Pillow was to thin for me so I took one extra (cuz we had an extra bunk bed in our room). There were two mattresses on double bed, mine was good and comfy, and my husband's was squeeky and hard.

Great dinner in 3 courses every night, breakfast could be a bit more diverse, but it was okay. You have free drinks during your stay, it's a self service all day long - coffee, tea, juices, soda, wine, beer, cocoa... Location for skiers is great, bus stop is in front of hotel and you ride only one stop to Schlossalmbahn II gondola. It's also very close to Alpentherme Gastein. Very nice and welcoming host who works alone - check in, serves dinner... Very hard working man. Liked billiard (pool) and darts in dining room.

Smelling bad the room, toilet, spiders in the room, insects, smelling bad the bad sheets and the floors smelling bad, the picture which he showed of his hotel was not real on booking.com, it was fake and actual was very old building, his dog was in his restaurant disturbing the guests and there were few guests not more, never been in such a hotel before.

When we complained about the Toilet that it was smelling bad, the person who sits in Reception was very aggressive with us and talked violently with us and asked us many times to leave his hotel and leave the room, otherwise he will call the police. That was his behaviour which we never expected anywhere and he told us that he will not pay us back. We did not use his Breakfast even it was free and all his flour smelling bad and very unfriendly person to deal with, never expect anyone to stay there.

Receptionist wanted to charge for parking. Online info said parking is free. He charged for one night but l refused to pay for additional three nights.

Could do with at least some minor renovations to get rid of the "old stuff" smell.

Excellent value for the price. I find the reviews from some people a bit too harsh, from our point of view the owner seems to be doing his best. He probably can't afford to pay for extra staff, but we didn't feel the lack of it. We got served dinner by the owner's kid, breakfast was always there and we always had clean glasses. We paid 70€/person/night for accommodation + breakfast + 4 course dinner and unlimited wine and beer. For that price to expect the same conditions as in other hotels where you pay 100+ without the drinks, is a bit crazy on your side. The beds were not made, but we did have a new roll of toilet paper when the existing one was almost gone, and also clean towels. After seeing everything from 0 to 5 stars in Europe, this hotel doesn't really deserve the 1 star reviews it gets because the reality is not that bad, especially when you look at the price.

The food was great. As if you were invited to your Austrian grandmother's house - very tasty every evening. Family-run hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect family holiday with children. We can't really understand many of the negative comments here. Our room and bathroom were very clean and we really have nothing to complain about. Yes, the accommodation is basic, but we expected that given the price - and especially with 2 small children (who like to look with their hands) we were absolutely fine with that.

The dinner time is only from 6 to 7 pm. It could be extended until 8 pm. However, even if a part of our family came later they were served.

A good dinner and breakfast. The price is very affordable for this location.
