With regards to the deposit, it is a standard procedure in many hotels to ask for a security deposit upon check-in. It is meant to assure any incidental or extra charges that could possibly occur during the stay. We sincerely apologize if this was not communicated effectively and caused you discomfort. Furthermore, we acknowledge your concerns about language barriers. While we have staff fluent in multiple languages, we regret that during your stay, there was a lack of Italian-speaking personnel. The back of our house faces a part of the botanical, which is not part of our hotel, but allows our guests to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet in the city center through their windows. Unfortunately, the room facing the neighboring hotel does not have the view, but still offers a bit more quiet than the main road on the other side.
