How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room did not have air conditioning, which made it difficult to rest during the summer heat—especially considering that there was an Irish pub located directly below, where guests smoked outside on the street until 3 a.m. Because of the lack of air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open, and the room filled with cigarette smoke. This was very unpleasant. The noise from below could be heard even through the closed windows.
The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent. Another great advantage was that we could park our car right in front of the building free of charge, thanks to the weekend.

Good location, close to restaurants, shops, supermarkets & not too far from the Metro station. Comfortable bed, nice living/ dining room plus necessary facilities in the kitchenette.

There needs to be milk for coffee and tea, and a knife and plate for cutting fruit, for example
The room is large with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom spacious, very clean, with excellent shower. Good storage. Effective fan. The check-in instructions worked well. Eating options nearby. We appreciated a host's colleague dropping by soon after arrival to check all was well. Thank you. We would recommend

Weak Wi-Fi No AC - we knew that in advance because they write it in all their publications. if you know you have to have ac take that into your account.
The location is excellent, within a walking distance from all the main attractions. The place is clean and cozy. There is a nice Irish pub in the building, it was very quiet and we didn't hear it at night at all. The shower is very bright, wide and the water stream is excellent.

There was nothing I didn't like.
The room was light and very comfortable. The addition of a fan was very welcome in the hot weather. The shower was fab.

I guess I’m old school, and the contactless procedure was a little bit strange. I enjoy human contact and interactions.
The fact that Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven once lived here is amazing. The location couldn’t be better, connections to the rest of the city were easily accessible.The property was also spotless.

I would be nitpicking if I mention anything here.
The location is excellent. The room was way beyond my expectations and big enough for 2 people. The kitchen was stocked with tea and coffee, had a sizeable fridge and plenty of crockery and cutlery.

No view and very hot room in summer. Renovation work and material outside our window. Apparently there's no lock on the door, which allowed the cleaning lady to enter in our room well before the checkout time while we were sleeping.
Comfortable bed and good shower. Well renovated. Looks nice and clean. Easy check-in and well located property.

Irish bar is just down the road. Could hear some noise on Saturday night until 3am but it was not so loud that I could not sleep and I am a light sleeper. We did have the windows on. Otherwise very quiet.
Good clear communication and entry instructions. Lovely large room. Bed large and extremely comfortable. Good bathroom. All spotless. Coffee and tea in the room. Nice quiet fan in the room kept us cool while we slept. Brilliant location and easy to walk anywhere in the centre of Vienna. Close to Naschmarkt - good for breakfast! Very responsive host. Building is very historic so beautiful tiles, mirrors, old lift etc in the entrance hall and stairwell area. Modern lift to reach the floor of the hotel rooms.

The vending machine at the hotel closes in the evening, so if you're planning to get something from it, don’t leave it too late. The location is not very close to public transportation, which might be a downside if you plan to use it frequently. However, it wasn’t a big issue for us since we mostly explored the city on foot.
The location is great — you can easily reach many tourist attractions on foot. The room was reasonably spacious, though it might feel a bit small for longer stays. There were no issues with cleanliness. The host was very attentive and helpful in every aspect. I can confidently recommend this place for those who enjoy exploring the city by walking.

Good location, walking distance from the museum quarter and the Opera house. Also close to shops, bakeries and a great little Spar supermarket. Good sized room with sofas and a table and chairs. I think this may have been a room upgrade - thankyou. There are renovations going on in the building, but this did not impact our stay.
