Beautiful big rooms. Centrally located.

Very good location, nice interior and good breakfast

Wonderful breakfast

We stayed in a spacious top-floor apartment with two bedrooms. Breakfast was great, real quality food, featuring freshly made egg dishes like omelets, scrambled eggs, and pancakes. (The two Hungarian ladies working in the restaurant were kind and welcoming.) The location is beautiful, nestled in the mountains, with a Hofer supermarket just a short walk away. The complimentary coffee and pastries served in the afternoon were a lovely touch.

The wellness area was under construction during our stay, and it would have been nice to be informed about this beforehand, as it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. (Unfortunately, it was too cold to use the outdoor pool.) A small indoor playroom for kids would be a great addition. Also, while our apartment had a dining table, there were no plates or cutlery provided, which was a bit inconvenient.

Hotel Moserwirt is beautiful. We planned our trip to Bad Goisern and our stay at the hotel last minute, two days before. The room was the most comfortable of our two weeks, and breakfast the best. We walked around the town to the park mornings and evenings, and rented e-bikes (off-site at BikeWorld, ask at the hotel) to ride to the northern tip of the lake for a swim (note both clothed and unclothed beaches separated by a little bridge) and spent most of the day there. This was a nice respite from sightseeing, there were few people and few other tourists. Definitely book half-board (breakfast and dinner) for at least your first night. Make reservations for other nights or just plan half-board. The restaurant choices in the area are slim and nothing can compare. If you need gluten-free you can forget every other restaurant. Everything we ordered at the hotel was delicious. I am gluten-free and there were several dishes that could accommodate my celiac needs. I’m also normally dairy-free, but decided to try eating a dish that contained cheese. Not only was it amazing, but I had no reaction to it and ordered the same meal the next night. Meals for two plus one drink each cost less than €50. Coming from Switzerland that felt like pocket change. Breakfast was not only the usual boiled eggs, breads, and meat, but also eggs to order, a nice touch. The gluten-free bread wasn’t good. Only thing that wasn’t. The beds were very comfortable. A carafe of spring water was in the room, but tap was good too. The shower soap was nice, not drying. The hotel is an easy 10min walk lightly uphill from the train station. Take the route through the beautiful local park. We loved it at this hotel and our stay in Bad Goisern. If we can we will return!

We do wish we had a fan in the room. It got hot at times, and the towels were a bit worn out. The sauna was broken and we missed that when we got caught in the rain on our bikes. Hence the 9 instead of 10. And just a warning that there is some chance that a godawful siren will go off late at night practically outside the windows (firefighter call?)

Good breakfast and location.

Booked twin bed, got double. Asked for help, got the sofa bed made, not really the desired outcome.

Helpful and friendly staff. I appreciated being able to check in early as my room was ready and then check out one hour later as well. Thank you. The breakfast was the best we have had in Austria so far and we loved the freshly squeezed juice and cooked bacon and eggs. Plus the free cake and coffee in the afternoon was very nice.

I like that place and good service

The receptioner was very kind and helpful. They have upgraded our room to a suit.
