Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThis hotel is mostly used by workmen. Some of them do not seem to follow rules, many rooms smell cigarette smoke. The nearby motorway causes some noise during sleeping hours when sleeping with open window.
This is an economic accomodation near the hospital. It offers everything needed when humble. The interior looks relatively new and is clean.

AustriaIt was very clean, easy to self checkin, facilities very convenient. Free apples were available in the hallway, very nice gesture. The hotel is not centrally located but 25 min walking. My other accommodation got cancelled, so I had to books this last minute, it was a bit expensive compared to the type of hotel but others more centrally located were sold out. To be fair a street art festival was happening that week, pushing up the prices.

GermanyThe price and the dressing of the room; it was fairly sober, and the furniture was wobbly and cheap feeling.
Unlike some comments, the self check-in tool worked perfectly. The staff was friendly and breakfast was restocked within breakfast hours and the seating area was cleaned regularly.

SloveniaIt wasn't spotless, the bathroom was a little dirty and so was the floor and the windows. For one night stay it's okay.
We were with a car so it was mice that the hotel had a parking in front of the building. You had to pay 6 euros for it. The bed was comfortable and the staff was really nice when the self check in didn't quite work. There is a small refrigerator in the room.

PolandPictures on Booking are done very good, so you can't see shortcomings before you enter the room.
There is a possibility to self check- in after the reception desk is closed (after 00:30). It is very convinient for those who are on the road.

GermanyOk, nothing special. Very simple.
Everything ok. The name on booking is just annoying. There is nothing about a “business” hotel. When you arrive there, you will see it is a montage hotel and it looks more like a hostel than a hotel. For one night it is ok, but nothing more. Reminds me of any other B&B hostel.

NetherlandsThe hotel could do with some maintenance. I addressed some minor issues with the room at the front-desk. The receptionist was extremely apologetic, I could sense I wasn't the first to bring up such problems. It was very sweet of her to offered me a free coffee at checkout.
Only stayed one night. I had looked for the cheapest option available, close to the train station. The hotel is a 30min walk from the station in a quiet part of town. The room was perfectly fine for a single person of small stature (a large person might find the single room slightly cramped).

HungaryWe were not able to use the self check-in machine due to accents in our names: the software does not recognize any diacritics. Together with a Polish couple, we had to call the reception. Soon enough, the lady on duty appeared and completed the manual check-in process.
Rather on the outskirts, but good value for your money, except that you have to pay extra once you are arriving by car. Free parking is not provided.

Czech RepublicWe had to pay 6 euros for the parking spot, which was supposed to be included according to the Booking site. The hotel's name is not Bussiness & City as it says on Booking.com! It's called Montage hotel, wrong name made it difficult to find.
The rooms were small, but sufficient for one-night stay. Towels and small shower gels were provided. Wi-fi worked and the breakfast was very very good.
