Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsNot really complaints, just to be aware of: * second sleeping room is a bit smaller; the bed still has a decent size but not much more fits in here. * kitchen is luxurious, wonderfully large fridge, always happy to have a dishwasher, but we found cooking on this particular induction system a bit hard to use; also it would be great to have some pot holders and trivets for pans, to keep the wonderful wooden dining table immaculate. * When booking through Booking.com: please be aware you also have to take note of direct emails from the host about online pre-registration, amidst all mails you'll get through Booking itself. This is needed for local authorities (holiday tax) and is also used to generate the 'Pillerseetal Gastekarte / guest card', which in turn gives you good discounts especially for the 4-6 day Pillersee tal card which gives you access to various cable rope ways and others.
As a family with two adult children, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Gspusi (upper) appartment. It's very luxurious, matching the typical Tyrolean wood-based design with modern furniture and lots of helpful tech - ranging from a door with digital key lock, via sensor-based lighting and an on-site iPad with local info, up to a radio in the bathroom and Japanese-style shower toilet in the separate toilet. Amplifying the dual toilets and dual washing bins in the bathroom are really great if you're with four persons. The layout of the living and kitchen/dining area is spacious, light and very pleasing, with nice view across mountains. Main bedroom is spacious; second sleeping room is a bit on the small side. Bedding is perfect, seating is comfortable, outside seating as well (unfortunately, we had rain on most afternoons). Location is great: within walking distance you'll get to the Fieberbrunn town center incl bakery, up for a nice walk up and down the river; in the other direction, some 15 minutes bring you to the starting point of the renewed cable station as starting point for your hikes (highly recommending the Wildseeloderhaus walk!). The house location is rather quiet; you may hear something from upstairs neighbours and may see the neighbours of the adjacent house - with the 7:00 AM churchbells ensuring you'll make the most of your day.

PolandUnfortunately, I had problems getting the door code from the owner, who was not very polite. As I had been travelling by car for 2 days and was very tired, I took this unpleasant welcome for my first day in Austria badly. Upon arrival I called the owner who lives next door and asked how to get to the property, as I was confused by dozens of messages and emails in German (which I do not speak) and English. The lady came and quickly opened the door with the code and stated that the code had been sent in the messages, so I should already know it, then went home. I did not want to bother her again, I felt guilty for not reading the emails carefully, so I sat down and started studying all the messages to get the door code, as I still did not know it. Eventually I discovered that the door code had been sent as a broken image that I could not read. So I had to call the lady again, explain that the door code she sent was as a damaged image and ask her for the door code again. I quickly got the answer that the code was also in the printed instructions on the dining room table so I could find it there. So I went to the dining room, found the welcome instructions, unfortunately many pages only in German and with the help of a translator I located it on one of the last pages. I was surprised because I thought that the code was changed for every new guest. In the meantime the impatient lady came again and showed me how to enter the door code. It would have been much easier and saved a lot of time if I had received the door code in the check-in instructions in the booking app as normal text (e.g. <key>NNNN<key>), and not as a damaged attachment and only complaints from the owner that I could not read it or find it myself in the printed multi-page instructions on the table.
The apartment was big, clean and quite nice.
