Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThere were two sets of stairs to get to the room, a little challenging with small children.
Lovely place that met all our needs. The hostess was very kind and waited up for us when we had a late arrival. Breakfast was great, with plenty of options for everyone. The summer card was a huge benefit, allowing us to go to an attraction each day. The location was very good. We had a wonderful stay.

Czech Republicthe bed was creaking a bit.
The accommodation met my expectations. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped. I appreciated the large amount of storage space and the spacious balcony. The breakfasts were standard, with the option for individual customization of egg dishes. The hotel provided the Nationalpark sommercard Hohe Tauern for free, which saved us a lot of money, especially on cable cars and entry fees. Overall, I was very satisfied and I recommend this hotel.

ItalyThe location is outstanding, just 10 minutes away from the center of Neukirchen, with a beautiful view. The staff gave us two rooms connected through a inner door, so we had a lot of space and two bathrooms for the whole family (two adults and two kids). Both rooms were equipped with shower, TV, big beds and a balcony. The hotel has also a small playground and a small swimming pool (both very nice for kids). There is also a wellness area, but we didn't use it. Last but not least, there is a roomy garage for parking bicycles. IMPORTANT: the "Nationalpark Sommercard" was included in the cost of the hotel! The card entitles you to free use of local transportation , as well as discounts - or even free access - for a number of attractions. It really worths a lot!

NetherlandsMattress are a bit run down and saggy, but all in all we slept very well. :)
Nice big landhouse in oldskool Austrian style (which i really like). We booked the double family room which was spacious, clean, and cosy. Nice breakfast too and friendly and welcoming owners and staff. The Summer Card that you get is great - free access to the cable cars nearby which is a big plus (easily saves you like 100 euros for a family).

IsraelEven though the rooms are big and spacious, the rooms lack basic equipment, such as kettle, fridge or coffee machine. There is a coffee machine in the lobby, however it is powered off most of the day. We were leaving in the middle of the night and couldn’t even drink a cup of coffee. Didn’t get a breakfast box, for which we payed, either. The hotel is located a 15 minute walk from the gondola and is isolated. There is no option for spontaneous dinner in the hotel, if someone wants to eat dinner, he needs to notify the owner in the morning, and select in advance the dish that he wishes to order. It is very strange and I don’t usually know in advance what I’ll want to eat.
The rooms are spacious The location is very quiet

NetherlandsWe stayed over one night, and wantend to spend our day at the hotel and close surroundings after breakfast. The hotel is run by a family, who do all the work. The main host lady was constantly cleaning during breakfast, but in a quit hyper way which made us feel we needed to finish up fast and leave. Kids were not allowed to sit in certain area’s of the eating lounge nor open the door to go to the garden. We felt we were rushed which made us to decide to leave right away after breakfast.
Great location with beautiful views. Greenery and mountains all around. Very clean and good maintained hotel with good breakfast.

United StatesThere was no thermostat control in our rooms so they were too warm. We had to crack our balcony doors at night to cool the rooms down.
The hotel is situated in a great location near ski/snowboard/sledding lifts.
