Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicOpening time of sauna could be longer. But probably it was little bit out of season, despite it was Easter and hotel was sold out

United KingdomTiny bathroom with no shelving in the shower, nowhere to put shower gel, shampoo etc, no hook on bathroom door to hang dressing gown, only one small unheated bar for towels. Room very dark. Found tiny little silver coloured fish in bathroom 😳 Isolated location, last bus from Kaprun was around 5pm so would need to get taxi after.
Ski bus stops right outside hotel and only two stops to Kitzsteinhorn gondola (takes about 5 mins), super convenient. Room nice and warm. Great 5 course dinners! Owners lovely. Great ski room.

United Arab EmiratesBlanket was small for the bed size, Not much facilities in the room other than bed and toilet. And no elevator if you are going to carry luggage.
Breakfast was amazing, quiet at night, parking spaces available and discount at ski rental shops.

SingaporeWould be good if they add fried eggs to their breakfast menu.
Dinner was fantastic, 5 course meals for us as we opted for half board. Different courses for our 5 nights stay and not to forget, such delicious first class desserts. The rooms are huge and sauna is very good. It was very comfortable for 4 of us. It is just 5 minutes drive to nearest ski lift. The owners and staff are very friendly. They remembered small details of our preferences like our drinks which made it very personalised.

SwitzerlandThe selection at breakfast was a bit low (especially not enough vegetables), although everything tasted good. Our bed was uncomfortable (too soft), and there wasn't enough light in the room - it was dim even with all the lamps switched on. The wifi was usually not working in our room only in the common area.
Dinner was great! Overall Hotel Künstleralm is a good price for the value - nice sauna and a delicious dinner.

GermanyThe property is rather pedantic in communicating their house rules. While those sound restrictive, in reality there is sufficient flexibility to meet guest's needs. All a matter or presentation and communication, I guess.
We had half-board with breakfast and dinner included. While breakfast options were compact but still adequate, dinner meals were varied, plentiful and exquisite. The chefs outdid themselves day after day. Jessy - the main waitress - is the soul of the place, striking conversation with all guests, being attentive to their needs and creating a cozy, familiar atmosphere. The other amenities - the heated ski room, the wellness area are well maintained and adequate.

United KingdomMy stay at Hotel Kunstlearlm was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re considering booking here, do yourself a favor and read the Google reviews first—you’ll thank me later. Here’s why this place is a complete disaster: 1. Terrible Check-In Experience The owner/manager was shockingly rude and unprofessional. We arrived at 7:01 PM, just a minute past the check-in window of 3-7 PM, along with another family. Instead of welcoming us, he barked, “What do you want?” When we said we were here to check in, he told us to wait because he was “busy.” We stood there for 20 minutes before he finally came over, and even then, there was no greeting, no smile—just cold, dismissive behavior. 2. False Advertising and Scamming Guests We paid for a triple room that was supposed to include a double/king bed and a single bed. This was clearly stated in our booking and cost more than the standard double room. But when we were shown to our room, it was a standard double—smaller and missing the extra bed. When we pointed this out and showed the owner/manager our booking, he rudely replied, “We don’t have triple rooms. If you don’t like your room, you can leave.” His blatant disregard for our concerns was appalling, and even the other family checking in was visibly shocked at his attitude. 3. Noisy and Unpleasant Room Location Our room was right in the hallway, meaning we heard every guest walking up and down, talking, and slamming doors all night and morning. Between skiers waking up early and other guests coming back late at night, it was impossible to sleep. 4. Infested with Silverfish The room was infested with silverfish—creepy, crawling insects that thrive in damp, poorly maintained conditions. We had to kill these pests daily, which was absolutely disgusting and made the stay even worse. 5. Glitchy Bathroom Light The bathroom light flickered constantly like a strobe light every time we turned it off.
The Only Positive The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its proximity to the Kitzeinhorn Glacier, just two bus stops away. However, the location doesn’t make up for the horrendous treatment and unacceptable conditions.
