How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Barman was rude and discourteous

Breakfast room very busy. Tables could be cleaned faster. Many empty tables not useable because of dirty dishes piling up.
Nice location in the old city, across the street from an underground public parking garage (busy and usually full or almost full). Comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Excellent selection of dishes at breakfast buffet.

The only slight downside of this hotel is that is scores a bit low on value for money. While all in all we enjoyed our stay and had no complaints, we still expected more for the rate we payed. Yes, we visited in August during the high season. Yes, the hotel is located in the heart of the city. Still, we found it too expensive for what it offers.
The location is as perfect as can be. The breakfast is fantastic, probably one of the best I ever had in a hotel. The staff is friendly and attentive. The spa area is very nice though nothing extraordinary.

Our trip was too short for.this treat!
This was a last minute reservation to get a room from downtown Innsbruck for one night. We had checked eatlier and staying in the city was too expensive for us but we foun a very good offer for a small room. We arrived very early and left the baggage there. When we got back at night, baggage was carried already to our room and room was upgrated to much bigger room. The bed was very comfortable. Brekfast was fancy and extremely good.

There were way too many messages with conflicting info coming from the hotel. Some links in the said messages weren't functioning. When asking a simple question, I never received a simple answer back, there would always be a very large copy-paste message coming from the reception, I wish the communication was leaner.

Didn't like the bathtub to take a shower, had no grab bar
It is a beautiful hotel, breakfast was wonderful and location was great, access to center and buses, trains. Staff were kind, friendly and answered all our questions

Perfect Location: Right in the center, ideal for exploring the city. Helpful Parking Support: Although our car was a bit heavier, the hotel staff gave us clear instructions for nearby parking. There’s also a convenient spot just a few meters from the hotel to unload bags. Spacious Room: We booked a standard room, and the size was perfect for our needs. Excellent Spa: A great place to relax after a day out. Amazing Staff: Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Exceptional Breakfast: Delicious and varied!

I liked everything and would stay here again.

Best vegan breakfast in my life. Amazing spa, very cozy room, comfortable pillows and light blankets. Perfect service, friendly and welcoming. Option to leave a luggage after/before stay.
