Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms are on the third floor and were very hot. Had to sleep with the window open and it was quite noisy outside at times. However this did not detract from our enjoyment as we loved Bregenz.
Very friendly hosts. A great location..The beer garden was an added bonus with good beer and a great Italian street food truck serving excellent pinsas. The room was clean and comfortable.

United KingdomOnly one pillow per bed was provided- it was not easy to request more as the hotel staff were not on site late evening.
The Honolulu hotel had an informal atmosphere where guests were encouraged to communicate as the refreshment facilities were provided in a communal kitchen. The location in the centre of Bregenz was excellent.

IrelandHonolulu hotel is a quirky and fun place to stay in Bregenz. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot. The whole place had great character and my only regret is not staying on a night when the beer garden is open. It closes on Sundays and Mondays. I saw them setting up as I was leaving earlier today and I can only assume the vibes would be great.

SwitzerlandNothing serious... if there is any possible complain from others, it might be small curtains with which day lights thru window cannot be completely shut.. But, for normal pp who wake up in the morning and stay active outside during the day, it is not an issue! and also, for a small person like me, the mirror on the water basin was a bit too high!!! but, majority of guests are much taller than me to feel any inconvenience..
Everything I liked here! Smooth communication with the kind lively lady who is administering, wonderful location, sense of safety-security, easy check in & out, very good mattress, clean room, water pressure, cozy community spirit, and very reasonable price. If I return to Bregenz, I will definitely like to stay there again!

AustraliaBe mindful that there is no lift. It’s a fair hike with a heavy suitcase to the third floor, but Rachel’s partner kindly carried mine up for me!
The location is close to the railway station and many bars and restaurants. The hotel has its own beer garden with food available. The owners are extremely helpful and went out of their way to welcome me and settle me in. Everything was perfect.

United KingdomReally friendly staff who are invested in this as a project to bring an arty alternative hotel/workspace to Bregenz - which is lovely, but hardly Berlin or even Vienna. There's also a courtyard with a bar and food truck. Nice room with art and mid century furniture and decor, and a pretty powerful fan for warmer weather.

NetherlandsIt's super basic and not that comfortable, not sure if I would go back (for the price I payed). It might need some renovation (which is not going to happen apparently)

GermanyNo breakfast, we knew that when we booked, the problem wasn't the hotel, but that it is hard to find breakfast that involves eggs. Mostly bakery which is not a breakfast in my books. The pillows! I felt a little suffocated as it wrapped around my head, but perhaps you will love them. No seating place apart from the bed. There was a small bench, but we needed it to prop the fan up. No problem though, we spent most of our time outside exploring.
Fantastic location, pretty much in the heart of Bregenz. No need to use the car, you literally can walk everywhere. Many cafes, bakeries & restaurants nearby, lots of choice for lunch and dinner. Lovely people running & taking care of the hotel. Rahel was awesome, so helpful and kind. Hotel is a few minutes walk to the Bodensee, gorgeous lake. You can walk all the way up the mountain overlooking the lake if you fancy a 1,062m climb uphill. Beautiful panoramic views from the top. Treat yourself and ride back down in the funicular. Hotel has a lovely courtyard/beer garden, but you have to catch that in the summer season. We were a day late. There is also a lovely food wagon serving mediterranean food. Peaceful hotel where you aren't bothered and can just do your own thing. Mattress was lovely and firm, exactly as we love it. Spacious shower room, place to put toiletries.
