Uncomfortable older mattresses on the beds.

Older but maintained hotel. Clean and renovated bathroom. Friendly staff willing to prepare an early breakfast upon request before our early departure. Location is one of the best in Mariazell.

The breakfast is mediocre at best. Not many options and took ages to bring refill.

Nice and clean room, probably renovated lately. Hotel is located in the center of the city just above the church. Host is very helpful and offered a garage for bikes (for a 10 EUR fee). Dinner in the hotel restaurant was a decent one.

I booked at the last minute and they had one room available for $179. A bit steep for just two of us, but we booked it. There was WIFI in the lobby only, none in the room. I been been coming to Austria over the past 21 years - breakfast was on the poor side. I was expecting something more then just sliced meats and cheese I could buy at any Billa. While did they did have a bit more then just that, I thought it was still lacking for an Austrian breakfast buffet.

The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. And being right in the town center was very nice. Easy walking to all that there was to see in Mariazell.

Nothing special...

We spend here only one night but it was good experience. There is a parking place at the backyard (extra paid) and restaurant which serves really good meals (breakfast was tasty). The hotel is situated in the centre so it's really great place for a quick sightseeing of the Mariazell.

The interior design is beautiful, our room was spacious with a nice view towards the main square and the bathroom was pristine. The staff was very kind and helpful. The available parking lot made it easy to get to the hotel in the stuffed little city (not all hotels there have dedicated parking lots). The breakfast was very good and fresh, however it could have included a bit more variety, personally I was missing scrambled eggs or baked eggs. (There were only boiled eggs in shell)

The hotel - presented as quite nice renovated hotel - not true at all, our room was super old, the furniture was extremely old and squeaky and not nice. The bed we were sleeping - double bed- each of us had one mattress but my partners mattress was super high, maybe not that used and mine was crazy used and old and I was about 20 cm lower when we both were lying down. Because it was also very used, there was basically a spot in the middle, that could take you to the center of the earth, how crazy low it was. The bed was also so squeaky that if you move at night, you will wake yourself up, it was really not good night sleep at all. The bedsheet and covers was something I would expect out of hostel, not a hotel. Bathroom was ok, but it took a long time for hot water to start going. Also no shampoo or soap, nothing. There were towels. TV was there but also could not connect to netflix or anything like that, just a screen with couple of tv programs. Overall the hotel was very old and not renovated for a looong time. The price definitely did not match the services, We paid basically 70 euros per person per night and we could have gotten a much better accommodation with this price, but we couldn't because the hotel is presented differently that it actually looks like. There is also paid parking, that is not included in the price! So we had to pay money to park in the hotel per night. The breakfast had like 2 types of cheese and some ham and some cereals, sometimes eggs, sometimes sausages and some pastry, but I would also expect a bit more, as it felt it also didn't meet the hype of the hotel. Good variety of tee is probably the only thing that matched the expectation. Please renovate and get a new furniture and covers and everything, it is crazy bad. At least in our room. The restaurant had also old furniture etc, but that doesn't matter that much.

We did like the location, and the breakfast was not bad per se, but was also not that good and definitely not worth for the price we paid.

Really weird vibes from the staff. Dinner was mediocre and overpriced, no vegan options. The beds are very uncomfortable, both of us had a hard time sleeping and got up with aching backs. Not good value for money, you can stay in nicer places for less money in this area.

Great but old hotel - suits to the area. Basic amenities - small bathroom with one single small soap. Room is spacious, but the beds are uncomfortable. Hotel Restaurant - great food, waiters are very friendly. Breakfast - simple choice of food and everywhere reminder, that you are not allow to take food outside.
