Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAs it was a type of health facility in its previous life (and one floor still appears to be used for that purpose) the rooms do echo this - especially the bathrooms. A facelift wouldn't go astray, especially the shower - wrong shape and it leaked everywhere. Note there is no air conditioning. It was quite hot even with the fans provided. First world problem I know but just want to inform others. I also know that all Graz accommodation is at a premium during the GP weekend, but I felt this was a little pricey given the location and condition of the facilities.
We stayed here whilst attending the Austrian GP and for that reason it was perfect. It was a little out of town but long days to and from the track meant no time for seeing Graz itself. Only a couple of restaurants nearby and about a 10 -15 min stroll to a few more - we certainly didn't go hungry. The rooms were a good size and very clean and it was handy having a small kitchenette. The staff were exceptional and would go out of their way to help. Breakfast was simple and eggs were cooked to order if you wanted them - which we did and they were fantastic! Rooms overlooked a park and facility used by a community centre and it was wonderful to sit back and watch all the activities. Transport was close.

The hotel is located on a quiet street. You have to walk a block to the tram stop. The staff is very helpful. At breakfast we asked personally what variant of eggs we prefer. The room is clean and spacious

ItalyGreat location in the city center, very convenient for reaching my workplace. The room and bathroom were spacious, tidy, and clean. The kitchenette was very practical, fully equipped with everything needed, allowing for heating food and preparing breakfast. The lady at the reception was very kind and efficient. I will definitely consider staying here again.

Germany...... 😃
The breakfast service was full satisfying. Was personally asked about my wishes. I felt very much at ease during the whole breakfast. I loved the classical style of the house.... and especially the calm environment. So you really relax over night.

CanadaIt is a former clinic or nursing home so there is a smell and sensibility to it that was reminiscent of my father's nursing home. It was a little off putting.
Location and staff were both great. It was clean and easy to get to. The rooms were large and well equipped. The optional breakfast was good.

AustriaThe bathroom is like a hospital bathroom. I think it was previously a hospital/nursing home. We were staying at the 4th floor with 2 rooms and each room has a number. We thought that we were sharing the bathroom but luckily not. My husband had some creepy experience at night.
Self checkin. There is a kids playground at the back.

United StatesThe bathroom was interesting. The shower had more to be desired in terms of pressure and time to warm up and needed the wand replaced. It literally is an extended stay hospital room, so the artifacts of that environment are present. If you want an art deco or elegant stay this probably isn't the place for you. There are still some clinics operating at a lower level during the day, perhaps for office visits but none of this was disturbing.
Very spacious room. It was a great bargain with kitchenette, some appliances, dishes and balcony. Great for extended stay. Facility was very clean and staff was wonderful. It was in a very convenient location to walk around the city. It was nice that the room looks out to a soccer field on one side so it does not seem busy or densely populated around. Quiet and comfortable. Everything was functional and met or exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again.

IsraelAt the time of booking I didn't realize it was basically a refurbished nursing home. However it is actually fine, I was just surprised at first. I found the reception times a bit confusing. Luckily I didn't need them much either.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There was also a tiny kitchen to reheat food and to store things in the fridge. It came with plates and cutlery too which was great. Cleanliness is important there and everything is spotless and nice.

SloveniaThere is not enough cutlery (e. g. a bread knife or steak knives), so it was a challenge even to prepare a very simple breakfast. I also wan't able to drink my morning tea as I could find only small cups and no mugs.
The location is excellent. It's not far from the centre, but it is quiet at night. During the weekend you can also park for free in the same street. Our room had a bathroom that was adapted for the wheelchairs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Czech RepublicI guess higher price is mostly for the location. And this is Austria so prices are a bit higher. Maybe we were just unlucky with the Booking algorithm :)
The room is part of an old hospital of sorts. Most of the equipment of the previous hospital rooms were not exchanged. And that is all fine since the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Do not expect any modern designs or anything. But if you are looking for a place to stay near the city center this is just fine. You can get a breakfast but ate in the city. Parking costs 20 EUR which might be too much but city center parking for a day is actually more expensive.
